So his game plan was working. Well, outside of the "no energy" part, which indicates that father time did catch up to him.

Yeah, trouble with a lack of energy and not because he was about to get TKOed.

No it's called being a cheat and struggling in the fight. Who knows if Calzaghe would ever have stopped Hopkins, we will never find out. But to excuse Hopkins because he is 43 is bs. He took the fight so he should have fought his heart out to win or die trying. Faking low blows or at least making a bigger deal out of them than they should have been, has just made Hopkins look bad....

Yes I agree, in fact that's what I said.

That tallies with the view that the reason Hopkins was cheating to get a break is because he knew he was going to end up getting stopped otherwise.

When you gas and run out of energy, you get tko'd.

Hopkins had to cheat because he knew he was in danger of ending up like Wlad against Brewster or Haye against Thompson, staggering backwards around the ring, barely able to lift his arms up and taking shots.

Hopkins has always done whatever it took to win, even if that was the unpopular choice. The low blows were the result of Hopkins needing a breather because he probably realized that father time did catch up to him in this fight. So he faked it. Not popular but he doesn't care. He was a 43 year old man with almost nothing left in the tank.

Yeah whatever you say. Those punches were no where near accurate , very strong , or made any real impact whatsoever. Just like girl punches. A 43 year old man gets outpointed by a younger guy. Woo hoo !!!

Hopkins face clean and unharmed...Calzaghe busted up ... He did indeed win the fight ...With girl punches.

When I was a child, I got into a fight with a girl older and bigger than me. with the wild looping punches by girl bent arms and simultaneous kicks to the groin ; I was quite confused on how to handle the situation...

Even though I was stronger, with the ability to inflict much worse damage to this crazed female , I still found myself losing on points, alot like the Hopkins fight:lol:

Can you confirm for us, on your unbiased scorecard, how many rounds you scored for Hopkins on the basis that Calzaghe had a graze on his nose?

Right before Hopkins started writhing on the canvas in the 10th, Calzaghe was getting through with more clean shots. If Hopkins did not have the 3 to 5 minute break he would not have had the energy to avoid Calzaghe's attack in the 11th.

Delusional is thinking Hopkins won. Calzaghe won 9 rounds.

As for the potential stoppage look how tired Hopkins was in the 10th when he decided to turn into Calzaghe's *****. He was avoiding a stoppage!
