He may not have been staggered w/blows to the head, but he was obviously VERY winded, hence the acting and that p.o.s. Cortez allowing BHop to rest. A fighter who is O.K. doesn't resort to sh*t like that. Cortez should've counted him out, being that there is NO WAY he saw a low blow.

    Good points from Atlas.

Giving 6 rounds to Hopkins was a very big stretch (I could see 5 MAX), also. Glad the right man's hand was raised.

****in aye, when will the bull**** cease? Atlas is right, Hopkins was out worked big time. Don't start in again about the age bull**** either because obviously at age 36 Calzagne has seen better days himself and nobody told either of them they had to fight each other. Each of them knew what skills, speed & reaction time they had left - they chose to fight, end of story.

Hopkins won the fight plain as day 115-113.
I have never seen Calzaghe miss or fall short with so many of his punches.
You have to land to score.
Hopkins displayed much superior boxing skills and hit the target much more often.
Does anybody on this post understanjd boxing.???
    Doesnt look like it.

Yup, and for anyone to say othewise have not watched many of Calzaghe's fights. The difference in speed was apparent in the first two rounds.

Hopkins was getting tired from holding and throwing 2 punches per round he showed his age. Stopped Hopkins, you must be kidding? Did Joe even land anything of substance in the course of 12 rounds?

He can't hurt any one with a chin? How about Lacy? He has never been stopped and was down against Calzaghe and very hurt throughout. Kessler has never been hurt and was hurt against Calzaghe. Eubank went down twice against Joe. It is nonsense to say Calzaghe can't hurt fighters with a chin.

Hopkins would not have been able to clinch if he did not take the break through faking. He was too exhausted. The TKO would result due to exhaustion and punches.

Great story. I had never heard about this but it only confirms my belief that Teddy Atlas is an ******* of epic proportions.

I think the last line pretty much sums up what I think he has to offer a fighter. The amazing part is that a fighter hasn't knocked his teeth down his throat.
