Direct quotes? Like the direct quote Koncz gave on 24/7 about what they agreed to...7 day cutoff. Manny defers those matters to his mgmt team and his promoter...he's said as much. Koncz cleared up all that confusion on 24/7. You don't think everyone was in agreement before they let him get on HBO, and tell the truth about the matter? Of course they were. The contract sent to Greenburg, had an offer for testing with a 7 day cutoff, and I assume, Manny's signature. Believe what you want about Floyd evading the fight, etc. But, saying Manny ACCEPTED OSDT, is completely FALSE.
I guess that's what they mean when folks say Pac is a likeable guy...likeable in not wanting to CHANGE the state of boxingatsch...I predict you think Boxing is a clean sport?
ESPN should fire this guy!! The worst analyst ever!! Pac camp should sue his ass!! That's slander right there!!
I guess we should expect someone from Team Pac to clear that up then. I guarantee you...THEY WON'T. They would not let Koncz get that one VERY important detail wrong, in front of millions of people. I doubt they are that stupid. People have been saying for months Manny did not agree to OSDT. Vivek Wallace reported the 7 day cutoff, here on ESB, months before the 24/7 aired, based on info from an inside source. Jeff Mayweather gave an interview a few months back, on ESB, and said Team Pac wanted a cutoff. Koncz later proved all those statements to be TRUE. Allah's child's interview with Manny, which I read the part that was available, does not challenge Manny to clear up that inconsistency. But, if it did...I believe, Manny would backpedal, and defer to Koncz's statements on the matter. His interview with Brian Kenney paints a picture of how a conversation like that might go down, if he is pressed for those types of details. I like Pac. He is not above criticism. But, I'm impressed with him, for the most part. However, Teddy is DEAD ON, about this.
Lol pac has been in the 140 range for awhile, technically he hasn't actually been constantly going up in weight... so how do you expect his ability to change?
There are a lot of conflicting infromation coming out of the camp of fighters, especially from Floyd and PAC's camp. Things that are said on behalf of Floyd and Manny have time and time again come back to be FALSE. The easiest way to clear up muddy waters in this situation is to take direct quotes from the fighters themselves....not thier teams who don't seem to know left from right in most cases. No one can deny a direct quote from the horses mouth.....When you take all the quotes from Floyd and PAC you end up getting the full picture and that's why the VAST majority are in agreement that Floyd simply did not want to make this fight reality. Based on HIS OWN WORDS and actions. Based on PAC's on words and actions its obvious he's done gone past the half way point in order to do everything possible to get Floyd to fight. Floyd was the one who confirmed the lie that there were NO negotiations when there were. And the 7 day cut off came from Koncz not PAC. PAC said he'd take test up to the day of the fight and even went further saying he'd take tests in between rounds. Of course that won't happen but that's how confident PAC is and how much he wants to block any routes to avoid facing PAC.
Nah...as part of the game...boxing always has some hazy facts and information in fight promotions and build up. This aint he first time that conflicting details came out regarding a fight. Floyd said there were NOT negotiations, yet his promoter said there were. And they did so in front of MILLIONS of people.....That is VERY IMPORTANT details that somehow got crossed. So yea.....important details sometimes get compromised and have to be retracted or re-confirmed. Teddy unfortunately is not dead on regarding this topic. He's transparent.
What Manny WOULD do, and what he ACTUALLY agreed to do, or permitted his team to agree to are two different things. Yes...there have been inconsistencies. But, do you really think Koncz would f\ck up that one all important statement? Hell no. His job is the on the line. He is representing Manny in the public eye. You think he would not be certain about details like that, before he spoke? Of course he would.
And I suppose you will add he did this such thing prior to last nights fight:roll:...if you are clean why not set the example in a fight before the big one, like Floyd did.
