Yeah, I just read it. Good book. Teddy was pretty crazy in his younger years.

He's a jerk-off. Book is a joke. He was in jail, and giant inmate backed down. He was with 6' 4" Shannon Briggs and four of Briggs freiends, and he had to step in to save them from a klnasman, or whatever that bull**** story was. He skipped his relationship with Zef Musapha nad Tori Locascio (both now in prison) hias support at trail for heroin dealer Anthoney Spiro,
his feuds with all his fighters were always tehir fault--oh yeah, great book:rofl

If he can get away with it, on his tombstone he'll have "He died for your sins" writen on it. And some will believe it.

The stuff about LaLonde makes Atlas seem like an *******. It is also old news, it was reported shortly after it happened by Atlas friend, the late Jack Newfield, among others. Atlas leaked it himself back in 1990 or so.

He left out too much, like his beating of a fan with a ganng of friends at Madison Square Garden, over an autograph request, his training of LaLonde was only for 13 months, and LaLonde was top 10 when he was hooked up with Atlas for those wasted 13 months. Atla seven feuded and was dumped by amateurs, like Golden Gloves champ Robbie Williams, one of first Atlas trained when he came to New York after D'Amato split. Atlas talked Williams away from anothe rtrainer, just before gloves tournement. Wlliams won gloves, then wanted to go tocollege while working. Atlas insisted the 19 year old be in gym 5-6 days a week. When Williams skipped 2 days for work and college--and also did not feel the need to work out, Atlas accused him of lazyness, lackof charactor, and the usual. He sucker punche dWilliams from behind after an argument, when Williams told him he did not want him as trainer. As Williams turne dback to walk up step to office in old Gleason's Gym, Atlas hit him from behind, and jumped on his back. Robbie Williams had family here, but moved to Houstan, Texas, to train there, just to get away from Atlas, who was making threats. Then there was Ricky Salazar, another amateur, plus others, but what's differance. Atlas has nuthuggers, so I won't bother.

In the business of boxing it would be hard to find someone more full of **** than Teddy Atlas. Which is actually quite remarkable and speaks volumes on what a bull**** artist he actually is.

I love Atlas - the idiotic predictions aside, he's one guy I'd have train me if I were a fighter.

  15. It was a good book i finished it within a week, the part where he wanted to kill Donny Lalonde was pathetic, and he also almost killed Mike Tyson when they were both very young, and his mob ties i get the impression someone with common sense wouldn't want to **** with Atlas:-(
