Yeah, Wlad's fans have been hearing that jibberish for nearly a decade now. Not that long ago Al Bernstein was referring to Sam Peter as the top man in the heavyweight division during fight broadcasts until both Klitschko's whipped his butt comprehensively. Haye was going to obliterate Wlad with his heavy hands and amazing handspeed. The great trainer Angelo Dundee after seeing David train in Florida picked Haye to K.O. Wlad and stated that Haye had top 15 all-time potential. Well, we all saw what happened when Haye finally faced Wlad. Thorough and complete merciless domination by the Steelhammer. They are all great until they meet Wlad. Then when they lose they are bums and Wlad is boring. Revisionist history is alive and well amongst the Klit haters.

Well, I agree that he'll definitely be in the discussion when/if he beats Povetkin, Arreola, Fury/Chisora and Helenius because the division will then have basically been cleaned out of all dangerous contenders... weak era or not. Winning impressively(ko) wouldn't hurt either...I mean I know a win's a win but a win really isn't a win when Legacy is concerned.

You have to watch the fight. Go to ESPN and watch the replay on espn3.
The fact is, it was a great fight, and it's also obvious that Atlas is biased against Wlad and Vitali. Pulling that line out of left field was really unnecessary at the moment as we watched probably the best fight on ESPN all year, and likely a candidate for FOTY altogether. It just didn't fit into what was going on at all and was a complete reach of stupidity at the time.
Its just stupid, it's a what if scenario that you could place on anything. Like:
if I was rich I could buy a Ferrari
if I was the Hulk I could throw cars down the street
if I was a politician I'd be untouchable by the law

all pointless bull****....if, if, if........If Teddy thought Povetkin could beat Wlad, he wouldn't have pulled the fight. That's the facts.

To be actually honest, Haye landed almost all of the significant and clean punches in their fight. Wlad landed next to nothing but he threw a shitload more and basically played a game of tag.

Typical Klit-hater. Adam Booth admitted in a video interview that David was hurt and deflated after the powerful right landed in the sixth round. I think Adam meant the 5th round where Wlad blasted Haye along the ropes. In any case even his own trainer admitted David lost his will to win midway into the fight after tasting Wlad`s formidable right hand. Keep hating, you nattering nabobs of negativity.

I want to know exactly what connection that little **** sucker had to the murder of Kobozev. If this society wasn't so totally ****ed up he'd be in jail instead of on tv.

Teddy knows boxing. What he doesn't know, as evidenced throughout his book, is anger management. He continues to smolder with long-standing anger and it seeps out all over the place. A little dignity would go a long way for him. Humility even more so.

Did he just say something about Wlad or did he bring up Vitali? If he thinks somebody bringing the fight to Vitali would beat him, he is a complete moron. Which apparently he is from the stuff he has said about Manny.

Atlas is a ****ing douchebag. This is the same guy that started shoving Foreman at the press conference before his fighter Moorer lost the title. The dip**** obviously isn't playing with a full deck

I watched the fight in slowmotion and had Haye landing two solid looping right hands, and one jab. Wlad landed three rights with power behind them (you can see Hayes head fling backwards), and several rights and jabs that where landing cleanly, but without any real authority behind them.

Both fighters struggled to land anything significant, but Wlad clearly outlanded Haye, both in terms of powershots and all together. The "Haye landed cleaner shots"-myth is just that: a myth.

A student of boxing of course. i wouldn`t have the patience but I admire the man`s passion and love for the sweet science. If you want to see crude knockouts just google bumfights. Those guys knock each other senseless. When you put your bigboy pants on, come back to this website and we`ll try to educate you about actual boxing.

If you're now trying to tell me that David Haye is good, then clearly you are the one who is revising history. He had his minions of huggers on here, but no sensible person I ever saw (and certainly not me) ever suggested Haye had ever done anything to even merit a title fight.

You don`t think David haye is a gifted athlete with phenomenol reflexes and very heavy hands. I sure did and most sensible posters agreed. The guy brought tremendous energy and excitement to the heavyweight division, not just with his mouth but also his fists. His handspeed is unreal and he hits suddenly with power. Wlad just shut him down. I`d like to see a rematch as Haye can only improve but he needs a new trainer.
