Heard that Atlas will be in London covering the Olympic boxing for NBC, and will miss the next few FNF's. Yet with the "regular" WBA champion in his hands, he refused to go to Russia for a few weeks to train Povetkin for the Huck fight. Guess we see whats higher on his priorities. Either he's a hypocrite, or we now see how much faith he had in Povetkin.

He is OUT with training Povetkin. But that was my point, He's done with Povetkin because he refused to leave FNF to go to Russia and train there for a few weeks, sighting his obligations with ESPN, and his work ethics. Yet he can find time to go to London and miss a few FNF, so he can cover the Olympics for NBC.

Can see how it got confusing in the headline, but I didn't have enough space to type "yet couldn't go to Russia to train Povetkin for the Huck fight" so I had to edit it down

Because he probably got permission to cover the Olympics and not for training Povetkin. FNF and his role as ESPN boxing analyst is his main source of income.

Plus the Olimpics is every 4 years and AP could have come to the states to train like he has prior to this. Makes sense to me:-((

Simple. Atlas' deal with Povetkin was to train in NY. Also Atlas has covered the Olympic boxing since at least 2004, that's as far as I can remember.

What a great momoment when Teddy trained his 4th HW Champion.

Teddy trained Mike Tyson, and Shannon Briggs both who later went on to be Heavyweight Champions. And Teddy was in the corner when Moorer upset Holyfield and for Povetkin.

Teddy is training the LHW on the US Olympic team and doing the play by play for US TV.

Teddy is already fighting the corrupt Olympic scoring. So watch out for that. Teddy will call the judges out if they get outa line.
