Teddy Atlas claims it was Tyson who spoiled the Bonecrusher and Tucker fights.

Cus made Tyson, Atlas wanted to step in and take over, even though Rooney was first in line after Atlas. He is bitter, about everyone it seems.

 

As much i hate Atlas, i think he would have done a good job alongside Kevin Rooney after Cus died. Tyson and Teddy seemed to get along fine before the incident.

I dont think its been said, but there could possibly have been some jealousy between Cus and Teddy over Tyson?

Good post but I thought (well read somewhere) Cus had bigger fish to fry in the early days though so Atlas was given the job of training the younger Mike? No

The thing about Moorer/Grant/Povetkin, I don't think they had the raw stuff to make it with any trainer

 

Grant has admitted he lost all confidence in himself after working with Atlas. Moorer did just fine without Atlas, he was certainly more exciting. Povetkin is still a work in progress.
No D'Amato was very much interested in making Tyson his last hurrah, thats why he let him get away certain things Atlas felt he shouldnt have. D'Amato went back on a few things he said he would never allow Tyson to get away with. Tyson knew it, and started to take advantage of Cus, and thats why he was sent back to Tryon after the whole Atlas situation went down.
