Teddy Atlas explains why Deontay Wilder will get knocked out

Painful to watch.

 

Windmill Wilder. The guy is a KO waiting to happen.

 

Wilder or listening to Atlas? Both?

 

I'm not a boxing trainer or anybody of any note, and I can tell you why Wilder will get KO'd.

1) Weak ass chin
2) Sloppy ass technique

 

If he ever fights someone like Wlad, Parker Joshua Haye Povetkin, he'll be knocked out, yes


His people are well aware of his shortcomings and that's why he has been protected for so long


Teddy is merely stating the obvious here

 

Good video, Wilder just isn't a good boxer and his handlers know it.

 

If you forget the WBC belt for a moment, he actually has put together a somewhat decent resume. Relatively speaking, that is.
But Wilder falls in with those who you can ask: "Who have you beaten?" And they would stumble to answer.

 

Actually I'd agree. It's the sort of resume a strong aspiring challenger would have built up, which would give a defending champion a credible fight to make ... or a resume for getting a mandatory shot etc.

A champion with this sort of resume should be looking to unify.

I've heard encouraging rumblings that he wants to unify with Parker. If he takes that fight, much is forgiven.

 

What about the good thing Atlas said about him?

 

Its exactly the type resume to expect of a WBC HW champion post Lewis.

Take away Vitali and the WBC HW title has been a complete bum show since Lewis retired.

Vitali was obviously better than Wilder but he fought nothing but bums as well and in 4 years i don't think he ever had a mandatory challenger.

 

Well, almost everyone does. So his statement is moot.

It's like predicting there will be rain in the next 6 months. It MIGHT not happen, but chances are it probably will.

 

I often wonder, when Tyson and Atlas were in up state NY with Cus, how many time Mike humiliated and knocked Atlas out cold. I'd bet he used to whip Teddy's ass whenever he felt like it, and there was nothing Teddy could do about it.
I'll bet Teddy clearly remembers everyone of those ass whippings.

 

Wilder won't last long at the top UNLESS he carries on fighting c level fighters.

 

The Masturbating Before Working Out video was interesting.

I wonder if Atlas ever critiqued Nassem Hamed in the same manner. Would have found a lot
of defensive deficiencies I imagine.
