Teddy Atlas explains why Deontay Wilder will get knocked out

If Wilder wasn't naturally athletic he would have been timbered a long time ago.

 

So does Wilder himself: hence, he avoids all the top heavies and instead makes defences against the likes of Gerald Washington and Artur Szpilka.

 

I don't know of any stories of them sparring or fighting. But there was stuff in Atlas' biography where he said he would referee the sparring sessions, and would have to keep right on top of 14/15 year old Tyson when he was sparring grown men they brought in to spar with Tyson, because of how destructive he was even then -- and then Tyson would sneak in hard shots and damage the guys anyway. Teddy Atlas also said in his book that, although Cus was the creator and felt he had the power, Tyson learned very quickly that he was in fact the one with the real power, adding that if Tyson snapped, there wouldn't have been anything Cus or Atlas could have done about it.

Moreover, according to Mike himself -- in his book -- he said Cus would take him aside before every sparring session, tell Tyson to go at full speed, break the other guy's ribs, and essentially make the sparring partner earn his money the hard way.

 

it may not be documented, but you can tell that Atlas has deep personal animosity towards Tyson and it's very likely due to Tyson having whipped his ass on numerous occasions.
It's also probably because Teddy felt jealous of the connection between Cus and Mike being deeper than that connection he had with Cus.
Cus probably had to pull Mike off of lumped and bloodied Atlas on many occasions.

 

Ummm... Haven't you heard the story where Tyson was sexually inappropriate with a relative of Atlas' who was underage at the time?

Seems like Atlas told a lot of Mike Tyson stories except how Mike used to whip his ass all the time.

True. But one was pre-pubecent the other wasn't, would you be happy if a 15 year old touched a female relative of yours inappropriately who was only 11? Tyson was also closer to a man than most 15 years olds, making it even more inappropriate.

I'm no fan of Atlas, but his actions were completely understandable. Tyson appears to agree which is why he apologized to Teddy down the road.

 

And Vitaly was the only one who stopped Donald too.
