You have to get past the windmills before you can KO him. Wilder has an unusual style however it has been working for him thus far.

I don't agree with Atlas a lot but he's spot on. Wilder's balance and defense is a JOKE. He will get destroyed sooner or later. I can't wait! The fraud chin will be exposed.

Any style works if you fight guys from the bottom of the barrel. Let's be realistic, Wilder handpicks guys from Boxrec #50-#75. As long as Wilder gets in the ring he will basically win the fight.

How will Wilder survive with his chin exposed like that if he fought guys like Pulev, Parker, Wlad or even a B level meat head like Whyte? That's where the rubber hits the road.

I never said his opposition was good:beer-toast1: and if he ever takes on an above average guy he will be tested as you live and die by the windmill:biggrin:
I expected him to step up a year ago as another poster pointed out to me and here we still are and waiting. His next fight is a head scratcher IMO....Stivern again and for what reason:BangHead:
Well at least we get to see Wilder and his sweet dance moves :dancer2:

Wilder has never defended against any guy ranked that highly. They were all ranked top 20 and top 15 by the WBC.

Yeah, Wilder's management has kept this fraud going, but they won't be able to do it much longer. Soon, they will be forced to face somebody decent. My guess is they'll hold off as long as possible facing scrubs and then take the cash out fight with Joshua.

And with those windmills he might just deliver the KO on himself...

Wilder feels like he has to be an entertainer.

It's not that he doesn't have the capacity to be disciplined. He showed that in the Stiverne fight after breaking his hand.

It's just that he would rather swing wild and do other odd, showboating things. And he knows he can get away with it because he knows he's better than his competition.

I would be very interested to see him go against better competition. He might actually fight a bit differently.

That's what I've thought for a long time, though his last fight made me feel that perhaps he's just regressed and genuinely can't raise his level more than that. A true entertainer never lets you feel like they're not in control, and for five rounds Wilder was most certainly not in control against Washington.
