I mean, Teddy Atlas stated he had the first fight 118-110 for Golovkin, and now he's saying that Canelo might win easy and Golovkin is overrated? This is pure comedy. Teddy was the one who massively overrated Golovkin more than anyone by stating he won the fight 10 rounds to 2 !

I guess after stating he had it 118-110 for Golovkin, he later stated he had it 117-111? In any event, it doesn't make any sense to have that score then to drastically do a 180 several months later by saying Canelo might win easy.

Someone who might win a rematch "easy" vs a guy that's massively overrated doesn't lose by that kind of a margin. To make that kind of a prediction, you would have had to see something in the first fight that would lead you make that prediction for the rematch. And yet, for whatever reason, when they saw Canelo landing those bombs in the first fight, and outboxing Golovkin round after round, they made the decision in their mind not to give Canelo rounds when they could have.

The difference is Byrd gave Canelo all those rounds, but yet the same reasons that Byrd gave Canelo those rounds pundits like Atlas are now using those same observations to predict Canelo could win easy, which is precisely how Byrd scored it to which they crucified her for lol.

I didn't score it 10 rounds to 2 like Teddy Atlas. I recognized it was a close fight. And not only that but I did give Golovkin rounds for landing jabs that actually landed clean like in Round 7. What I didn't do is give Golovkin rounds for just throwing jabs where Canelo was slipping them and blocking them.

Teddy's comments really don't make any sense given how he scored the first fight. It's two extremes, two polar opposite ends of the spectrum several months apart.
