Teddy Atlas : Golden Boy paid for 117-111 decision in Canelo vs Lara

Canelo won fair and square, close fight could have gone either way but be honest would you rather watch Canelo again or see Lara run another marathon? I'm glad Canelo won he's a far more exciting fighter and not a **** like Lara, Lara the biggest crybaby in boxing.

 

It's fine to think that Lara won if that's what you prefer. Lara did good early on in the fight (the first few rounds) and then started to run and in the rounds that he won Canelo is going to get the round because he's cutting off the ring and landed quality punches.

But calling it a robbery or carrying on about this fight is ridiculous. It is clear why Canelo won. I remember when Andre Dirrell fought Carl Forch in the Super Six in Nottingham. At the time, I was rooting for Dirrell and probably a little biased, but I remember thinking Dirrell should have won. Probably for the same reason many think Lara should have won vs Canelo. We all take our biases into fights and look for certain things. I'm sure if I tried hard enough, I could go back to Dirrell Froch and look for things to give the fight to Froch. I just thought Lara did too much running and it hurt him on the cards. Canelo looked really good I thought.

You explain the 117-111 card then because that was a ludicrous scorecard for the fight I saw.it was a close fight with Lara getting the nod 115-113

Let me get this straight,

the same juantards were constantly using Teddy Atlas quote to try to discredit other fighters and make PED accusations, but suddenly in this case, Teddy Atlas wasn't being truthful?

 

I don't understand why a wide scorecard is automatically a sign of corruption.

Judges know how many rounds they've given to one fighter or another, they can easily just split the first 10 rounds and give their guy the final two or some ****.

It's more incompetence or just close rounds, something most can't wrap their heads around.

Again, Lara outlanded Alvarez by TEN punches over TWELVE rounds. That's not a robbery.
