"Hrgovic is the first challenger, he is undefeated, but I think he should have lost to Zhilei Zhang. I don't have a high opinion of him, Joshua will tear him apart"

I can't wait for this fight, I hope that Hrgovic can pull off an upset, and that he has at least a 30% chance of defeating Joshua.

Good news for Hrgovic. Atlas favors A.J.

We're talking about the guy that the big Chinaman beat.

At the moment I think Joshua wins a points victory against Hrgovic based on his better punch variety. No way does he tear him apart though.

Yeah I don't know about "tear him apart" but I think AJ wins fairly easily assuming he comes in the right attitude.

I doubt he tears him apart. Hrgovic will probably lose a clear decision but he's no pushover and will be dangerous throughout but in the end he doesn't have the variety or style to beat Joshua.

Hrgovic was gifted a decision against Zhang, and quite frankly I'm surprised it wasn't waved off at points. I'd pick AJ to beat him mid rounds based on recent performances.

Joshua was offered the fight after the Joshua vs Whyte II collapse - didn’t want that smoke. Styles make fights and in this case I think we will see the best of Hrgovic and I’d be very surprised if Joshua can beat him. Be a huge win for him

I'd be quite surprised if Joshua doesn't win this. I suppose the question always is where he is mentally, but he should just have too much for Hrgovic. More explosive, better combinations and overall sharper.

I think he'd beat Zhang too, and hopefully gets to face him as well next year.

If he beats them they're of course going to be dismissed as overhyped bums, but would be quality wins imo.

Would AJ handle the bombs Zhang landed on Hurgo?

    Don't think so.

Hurgo's biggest weakness is his workrate through the mid late fight. He's a little static also...but no more so than AJ the bodybuilder himself.

The beauty of analyses an AJ Hurgovic fight is both of them are fairly simple boxers to break down. They are pretty much the same size wise. Hurgovic hasn't quite got the resume depth but you can still look at them both and imagine how a fight with both will go. In this case it's a great fight early doors and one of them is going to fold mentally and give up the ghost. Will it be the bodybuilder? or the guy who wet himself but managed to hold it together when he realized Zhang has nukes in his hands?
