Excellent post, I completely agree. :yep Atlas really wasn't much of a trainer, and he's not much of a boxing commentator either. He's just not all that smart. Despite all his time around boxing, he doesn't seem to know the fighters very well. However, I'm surprised that even he didn't know Sultan is older than Wladimir.
atsch Sultan is a year older and i seen that BS tonight!!! aint no way Ibragimov beats Clit....ooops...i mean Klit!! he will prance and dance until he gets hit so hard he poops in his pants!:bokc
Yeah, but you know what, his comments on Barkley/Mamby were dead on. Atlas has the balls to speak up for what he believes in. That fight is an absolute travesty. Remember a guy named Jerry Quarry fighting when he was like 50? Sad.
Yes, and he speaks up against mismatches in boxing, but has no problem when his own fighter is involved against a terribly outmatched opponent.
Atlas may seem to be somebody that cares about the fighters, but is he for real, or is it all just an act?
I think he does care, but he also does things for the cameras, such as how he lectured Grant in the middle of the ring about "don't let your insecurity hold you back". Jeez, Teddy, couldn't you have said this in the locker room without all the cameras on?
An act. But he has many fooled. He has attacked a fan at madison Square Garden, said he planned to murder Donny LaLonde with gun, has had falling out with half of his fighters---but I saw on goole news that he just won a 'Good Guy" award from some group.
If he says...'he's tall but he's fighting small' one more farking time...I swear I'm capping the TV w/my .357atsch
Perhaps Atlas hates Wladimir because of envy. Teddy is short, ugly and rather stupid, while Wlad is tall, handsome and highly intelligent.
