I never really understood why everybody gave so much credit to Atlas after the Holyfield-Moorer I fight. It seemed like as much as Teddy as yelling at Moorer, Moorer just wouldn't apply a decent offense. I had Holyfield winning the fight.
yeah i agree that s out of line IMO i was like wtf? And povetkin is yes man he will do what ever teddy says!
Yeah, he'd be much better off not listening to his corner man. atsch I was under the impression that Povetkin won his fight with Chagaev....
I had Chagaev up 3 rds before that break, and Sasha looking worse and worse as the rds went on. After that break, he took control, and won the next 3, bringing him even on my card. I gave Chag the last rd, and the fight, but I wasn't ringside, and my EpixHD stream was choppy and broke up a lot. SO I must've missed what the judges saw. But I didn't miss the 9-11th rds, after the Teddy speech, and it was that speech, as disturbing as it was, that got Sasha back into the fight, and into the winner's circle at the end.
just believe that sometimes you can turn back dead people imagine that you can bring your father back! Povetkin in my book was controlling that fight i don't think Atlas needed that comment
atlas said that only because people will talk about atlas and not the fighter fighting...atlas is such a dick head fraud of a trainer....
Although the dude means well, it also seems to me that Atlas is self-aggrandizing as well as classless. He refers to his fighter as "the kid". Certainly he likes Sasha, but it comes across as disrespectful. No wonder Sauerland and other Povetkin management can't stand him. Still, if he's got some kind of mind-voodoo thing with Sasha (which seems odd since they don't speak the same language) then that ain't nothing.
The only way teddy globus would be a useful trainer is if he was kept out of camera spotlight at all times and there would be no mics around. ****er loves the sound of his own voice and loves to be the center of attention, training or giving his fighter proper advice is completely irrelevant to him.
Atlas' record as a trainer is not good at all, look what he did to Grand and Johnson. Atlas said that Johnson would knock Vitali out with one punch, Vitali knocked Johnson out in the second round in a mismatch! Atlas loves to get attention, watch how he plays that camera...........
Does anyone have any clips of Atlas giving his "motivational" speeches to Povetkin? Would love to see those.
