I'm not a fan of Atlas...not at all.

However, he DID motivate Povetkin enough to get him to go out there and get the win.

Secondly, Povetkin is the one that wanted Atlas back, and personally called him. It was Povetkin's promoters who didn't want Atlas back.

So....maybe Atlas isn't so bad after all, at least for Povetkin.

I thought it was unnecessary. However, when the fight was over, and I saw that they had those framed pictures in the ring, it became obvious that his father was already playing a large role, before the fight even started. It didn't seem as bad after that.

Yes, I just defended Atlas in my two previous posts....can't believe it myself.
For the record, I still think he's an *******.

Personally, I can not judge Atlas as a coach and whether he is a good trainer for Sascha. Because , if you don't know things from the inside, if you don't live with the boxer . then you don't know enough . For example, I hear rumors that Sascha is a little lazy. IF this is true , then with such mentality , even if you hire God himself as a coach , still you will not develop as a boxer.
But, I must say one thing about Atlas . The guy is a star. I have to admit that. He is a star. He knows how to draw attention on what he is doing
Even here we discuss about him. One of the few cases that the coach has the same fame with the boxer (or bigger)
Did you hear his words after round 6 ? I couldn't stop laughing
    He is unique

Someone posted a clip here. Teddy was pissed at Michael Moore (vs Holyfield) he said he didnt think he wanted to fight so Teddy sat down on the stool and asked him if he would like to change places.

Teddy Atlas is a genius ... despite Povetkin being Wlad's mandatory (twice)
he managed to avoid Wlad and win his belt, not only that Povetkin was not
forced to fight Ruiz, Valuev or Haye who could gave him a sort of different problems,
..... and now Povetkin is HW champion of the World who don't need to fight mandatories.

    :lol::lol:

All the guys who are crying about how bad trainer Atlas is. :patsch

His guy won world title against a guy who many Klitchko fans consider best victory in Wlads resume.

Pac and Klitchko fans just hate the guy because he has critizised their heroes.

In reality Atlas is one of the best bnoxing trainers in the world
