Teddy Atlas is tired of GG too!

Bottom line is that no matter how anyone looks at it, three G will always be need of comp. That means, even he were to get the fight with Cotto and presumably beat him, it would still not have the affect on his career his fans were looking for. He would still need a real threats thereafter to get people interested enough for people to pay to see him...which I assume is how big a star people want him to be, a ppv star. No matter what, everything comes down to comp, and he just doesn't seem to have that in his division.

At a certain point he and his fans will just have to realize he needs to move around. Now say someone like kirk who says he wants him to beat B-Hop's defense record...I can almost guarantee you Golovkin does not care anything about it, and if B-Hop had it to do over he would've moved around and looked for more competitive fights sooner because that's where the money is at, always is.

I still think a three G Cotto fight only does about 450K tops because not that many people will think Cotto can beat GG, and after Golovkin makes his mil, he's right back at square one. It will not launch into supers****om like he and many people believe, he will still have to move around for that...

 

I respect Golovkin and think he's a legit top fighter today. That said, he needs to step it up. Murray was a good win, he cannot follow this up with a cab driver.

There is a division below you and above you with name fighters willing to fight. No more excuses!

 

No guarantee of good fights for GGG at 168 either. No point in him moving up until he has that.

 

You guys that say GGG hasn't fought anyone or that he is a hype job, if the likes of Cotto, Quillen, JCC Jr.,Froch or Ward won't fight him, what's he supposed to do?

GGG and his fans certainly want the big fights

Hopefully GGG gets Lee after he KO'S Quillen.

 

When a visceral loathing for a fighter exists and a subtle deconstructionist tatic must be applied to mask one's own bigotry, simple do as follows.

* Deconstruct the competition/resume

*Deconstruct the era

*Make outrageous demands, such as jumping up and down weightclasses from fight to fight.

*Claim that he is avoiding fighter X,Y or Z!

*Repeat first four points constantly then make counter accusations when challenged.
