I scored round 7 for GGG. I'm simply saying there's a case for both fighters. Although the stronger case is for GGG. I hold GGG in higher regard than Canelo at MW. Always have. He's 37-0 there.
Atlas gave GGG 10 and he basically hates him. Here he is going ape **** while weird company man Stephen A. Smith refuses to acknowledge his points. He also tries to advance this narrative that it was a close fight. LOL Guy has no business talking about boxing. This content is protected
You obviously missed the point. It is not about this particular fight.History repeats itself over and over again. But like I said you must be relatively new to the sport to defend this BS.
i gained a lot of respect for Teddy.Calls BS when he sees BS.There are no excused for scores like this.We have seen it over and over again.
This is pretty much the narrative and overwhelming consensus amongst anyone who watched the fight. Those who saw it for Nelo are fans of his who are playing damage control. It's not surprising because it happens a lot in this sport but their justification is what amazes me. I'm a fan of Nelo. I wanted him to win....but I'm a bigger fan of boxing and I can't make up things to defend a guy I like as a fighter. Everyone loses and you move on. Regardless of the official decision the fact is, the better fighter won inside the ring. Outside of it...it's a draw, but to those who witnessed the fight, live or on a screen know GGG beat Canelo in a great fight. It was competitive but it had a clear winner
If Canelo won that fight then anybody with a pair of track shoes should be able to step in the ring and win fights "running away". He must have studied his idol, Oscar, in the last few rounds against Trinidad to prepare for this fight. GGG should feel fortunate. Going in, he had to knock Canelo out to get a draw. Well, he didn't knock him out and was still "awarded" a draw. He's lucky to have escaped with his belts.
Boxing isn't corrupt? My my, tell that to the masses of boxers who've been robbed in the past by shady judges and money changing hands under the table, they'll be ****ing delighted to hear they had a fair deal.
The black guy about 5 minutes in - does he always talk like Robert Downey's character in Tropic Thunder or is that just for effect on this occasion?
You only had to see ODLH frantically jumping onto the microphone just as the commissioner turned up, getting their stories straight. De La Hoya is the dodgiest man in boxing.
Maybe because he's just being honest regardless of whether he likes GGG or not. Last night showed the blatant corruption in boxing and it stinks.
Not defending it 1 inch. Simply saying 1 card in a close fight doesn't mean CORRUPT. Pac/Bradley is CORRUPT. Pac/Horn is CORRUPT. De La Hoya/Trinidad is CORRUPT. Lewis/Holyfield was CORRUPT. A close fight with 1 bad card IS NOT CORRUPT. It's Incompetent on the bad judges part. Corrupt would be 2 of 3 or all 3 cards being terrible
