True but Clottey's lack of a sustained attack certainly didn't hurt the cause for Cotto. Pac will certainly be punching harder and more often which is why I suspect Cotto's true mental makeup to be revealed in this fight.

I thought Miguel did better than expected against Clottey. If he was damaged goods after the Margarito fight then Clottey would have won.

Clottey didn't win because he took his foot off the gas, if that were another fighter in there like a Paul Williams, Cotto's ass would of got stopped

possibility? yes, i thought if the fight was in vegas, LA, atlanta, chicago....someother place without the P.R. influence clottey probably gets the win...i had cotto by a point.....but the fight was on the eve of puerto rican pride day......don't tell me that didnt have an influence, even lampley made a remark that it took awhile to get the judges' scorecards to buffer to announce.......

a A rated offensive fighter probably stops cotto that night......mosley would have stopped cotto after that cut....

    Amen. Spot on. ^

As I've said before; Cotto looked better against the very dangerous Clottey than he did in his first fight at 147 against Urkal. Atlas sounds like a fool. Cotto is always going to have trouble with fighters more durable than he is. Always. Cotto damaged goods?? :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

nah, cotto would have lost to clottey if he was damaged goods. the clottey fight proved hes still a tough to beat. win/lose/draw, hes gonna give pac a tough fight.

Pac doesn't have the size or strength to employ the same strategy that Margo and Clottey put on Cotto. IF Manny tries to emulate Clottey and Margo it is going to be a short and painful night for him.

i dont think cotto is damaged. i think he is now fighting the top guys and they are a hard match for him and he is having to adjust. these guys arent folding from his best punches like they used to. i expect his punches to carry more respect against pac. if he can find him.
the rest of what teddy spoke on was well thought out and mostly true.

I agree Clottey took his foot off the gas, but prior to the bout I thought that Margarito`s loaded gloves had ruined him and bet on a Clottey ko. But Cotto came through, to his credit

Pac was a beast when he fought MAB, then a lackluster performance with EM1...now which do we discredit? or does styles makes fights? by some peoples logic, Pac should have been "damaged goods" by then. Cotto didnt look as fast and as sharp when he fought a lightning fast Margo compared to when he fought Clottey huh? Well did it ever occur that his style probably just didnt match Clottey's?
