Teddy Atlas: 'Mike Tyson’s a phony'

To be fair, I'd agree with this even if we weren't on the same page about boxing about 85% of the time

 

Well he has many interviews where he praises Ali for that KO he does have many funny comments but some classic to, like my signature "boxing is like jazz the better it is less people appreciate it " one of the most accurate quotes about boxing.:deal People appreciate Rios more than Rigo:nut

 

Mike is as real as they come, Atlas is a wonky faced ****.

 

If there was no Mike Tyson none of us would know who Teddy Atlas is. He should at least have the decency to shut the **** up considering he wouldn't have the career he does without that phony.

 

Tyson did tell everyone he was drug and/or booze free, for a very long time he told everyone. then, perhaps during a moment of clarity, revealed he had been lying all the time. wtf was that about if not being a phony. of course, he told the truth then. or did he?

 

This might be the reason for Teddy's latest lunatic outburst.
From a December, 2013 interview with Tyson:

Interviewer: You have an upcoming show January 3rd, with super featherweight Argenis Mendez defending his World title against Rances Barthelemy on ESPN’s first Friday Night Fights of the New Year. During last year’s final Friday Night Fights, fans saw a reconciliation of sorts between you and former trainer and ESPN boxing analyst Teddy Atlas. Has there been any further contact between the two of you since then?

Tyson: Well, Teddy’s not interested in reconciliation, I did that for me. That wasn’t necessarily to make anybody else, um, feel as if we’re friends. I just didn’t want that burden over my head. I made my amends; this is only to improve myself as a human being and as a productive person in society.
Right after that he wanted me to come to one of his charities, you know, what kind of stuff is that? You know, looking for an opportunity to benefit in some kind of way, and I really wasn’t for that, but that was just to clear my head.
You know, I was wrong in that incident, I was wrong. He could have handled it different but there was more going on back then, but I was wrong and I made my amends. That’s what I did, to work on my program and keep my side of the street clean.

mike , actually molested his 12 yr old niece you assholes. Did you keyboard warriors not know that? He also backed down to holyfield in a amatuer training camp too!!

 

What part don't you believe? The part about Teddy inviting Mike to a charity event, or the part about Mike turning him down?

 

Yet he became the youngest heavyweight champion of the world and a 2 time world heavyweight champion.

 

Maybe he is, who here knows? I don't know Mike Tyson personally so I can't say.


If he is, he's a phony that did a whole lot with his boxing career.

 

Travolt, this incident happened way back in the 80s, when atlas was his trainer. Teddy felt cus was soft on his discretions, this was one off the catalysts for the split from atlas!! note, mike suffers from selective amnesia!! All cus wanted was a bigger stronger floyd patterson, who was eventually brought to him by a guy called bobby stewart!!

Cus, used to say he will be the next champ of the world, forget it . Teddy held a loaded gun to his head, and he ran like hell for the hills just like pac did to mayweather!!
