I don't know why people act like Peterson is a bum. The guy only has one loss and that was to Bradley.

I like Peterson, I do, but how much of a chance can you give a guy against Mayweather when he's getting outboxed by Lamont? It's just too big a step up in opposition to me. Maybe if this was in a year or 18 months when Victor has a bit more experience, especially in going the full 12 rounds, then I might give him a bigger chance but right now I don't see it.

I hope Lamont does do some big things & I do see improvement but he isn't at a Mayweather leveland he made Ortiz look bad in the later rounds. I'll probably still buy the Ortiz-Mayweather PPV (for the undercard) but I just don't see how Ortiz can pull it off. I wouldn't be surprised if Victor doesn't even have a size advantage come fight night.

Marquez has slowed down, but so has Pac.

Marquez will land on manny, and it should be exciting.

The big question will be whether MArquez can take Manny's shots at this weight.

I'm looking forward to both fights

Ortiz was robbed against Peterson. But i see what you mean.

If ortiz boxes with controlled aggression. he has a slight chance.

I see Marquez throwing a lot more power shots than Floyd, Floyd jabbing a lot and countering, landing more of course but nothing close a knockout. If you feel Floyd was still gunning for the knockout in rounds 11 and 12 it's possible but then you have to at least admit that he came nowhere near his goal. I think after round 10 Floyd knew he wouldn't get it.

I don't think Ortiz would have what it takes to back Floyd off like that. Even Mosley didn't as much as JMM.

Lol, he says it will be a tough fight now, just like he did for all of Pac's recent fights. Just wait till after the fight, no doubt he'll be flip flopping as usual claiming Pac's a cherry picker who fights nobody

I hear what Teddy is saying, but I disagree. At THIS weight, JMM wont be able to perform against Pacman the way he did at 130.

I'm looking forward to both fights. The Mayweather fight a little more personally, due to Ortiz being such a wild card (plus I'm curious to see how far Floyd has slipped because of his age/inactivity).

I think pac will get less credit for a win than leonard gets for duran 3.
It will give us closure though, I just hope people arent going to ***** and say stuff like he waited till he got old and pulled him to 144, where its basically marquez chasing him and being the best and most deserving opponent available now.
I think both fights will be though, I dont expect a easy night for floyd and manny.

For once, I agree entirely with Teddy. JMM is easily the tougher opponent, no doubt in my mind.

That's strange considered he threw damn near 70 punches in round 11(his high for the fight). Yeah, Floyd wasn't close to stopping Marquez, but he did win damn near every round pretty convincingly.

Pressing foward and throwing a lot of power shots is pressing for the KO. Then again, maybe myself and all three of the announcers are wrong about it. It's all a matter of opinion.

Ortiz is damn near 25, has over 30 fights, and has been a pro for 7 years. If he's not on that level now, he probably never will be. As far as why Mayweather chose him, it really doesn't matter who Mayweather fights. No one is ever good enough to satisfy everyone.

Ortiz is a much tougher fight than an old battle worn Marquez.

Floyd landed like 50 punches to 5 in round 11. It was the most lopsided round of the fight.
