Yep he went from rags to riches his formative years were rough and his mean streak continued until his fight with Jimmy Young......most would argue as would Moorer and Tyson that George was a conman and under the nice guy was that same mean 5th ward badass

It's no use he thinks little Lenny Mancini and Teddy Atlas were able to beat up guys LIKE Foreman....if that isn't off kilter I don't know what is....he also seems to not understand that most fighters grew up hard and sought out boxing for various reasons but if I were to use myself and others as why most have a taste for violence and some cruelty

To change the subject from the acid reflux inducing moron Teddy Atlas to something else: Ive always wondered why Foreman had this rep in his first incarnation as a surly, short tempered thug. He was kind of quiet but Ive got tons of interviews, press conferences, and weigh ins of him going back to his amateur days and he strikes me as a somewhat reserved but always thoughtful young man. I have never got the sense from him that he ever tried to portray an aura of menace outside of the usual prefight staredown. By comparison Gypsy Joe Harris, who was considered something of a clown in the ring, seemed much more uncomfortable with the public and much less personable. I dont know. Just my two cents. Its interesting how different people perceive things differently.

The only thing you have proven is you can't fight and because you can't fight you have decided that beating you up is the equal of yuppy self centered phony like Atlas beating up real real tough guys....are you sure he didn't scramble your brains? Atlas is a turd and at what 175lbs he is big and a 6'3" Foreman at a trim 250+ is not very big????

Whatever you want to believe but it seems you are confused by words.....you did say that just because big George was a boxer Atlas was a "street fighter" that Atlas could kick his ass....I will take that bet all day in fact I would bet on a 15 yr old kid without a 38 in his face absolutely beats the **** out of Teddy the privelage kid Atlas......so he kicked your ass? It proves you aren't very tough that's all......your b.s. just makes me wonder if you too aren't some yuppy like Teddy pretending to be street tough....fighters have a thirst for blood it is very rare that they dont a banker learning to box is not doing it for the same reason as a street kid.....Atlas is a poser who likes to wave a gun around I suspect he did that to the wrong guy and got cut on the face.....I never knew a fellow fighter who wasn't a street fighter as well there were always altercations after matches in the street

When Foreman was 300-350 he was fat at 250-260 he could fight all night yah looney toon....what did you call being an American in your day??

OK now I get it you must be one stupid person to get beat up 60 times jeez you would think a rational man would learn to shut up and stay away from people long before 60 whoopings and again you prove my impressions of you from your posts you were not a very tough guy and slightly delusional yourself and Atlas beat you up in jail....why?

B.E., you really have all those injuries from street brawls? Why?
I cannot tell if you are just creating a character or not.

I do not see Atlas listed on box rec. How did he prove that he could fight, at least well?
forman not that big? Um OK, compared to some giant athletes...

Jimmy Young did not have that much power-for a modern heavyweight.
But he was a World Class boxer, & it is unlikely Atlas could even ever hit as hard as him, or neary so.

Rich man, do not take Boxed Ears seriously.
He is just winding you up, & some of his wild miscellaneous literary misfire missives are very clever. An evocative molestation of meaning & language, much more surreal than serious.
No, what he describes is not remotely factual. he is telling stories.

Small point(less) of order: Foreman was around 220 when quite lean.
But (in)apropos of Saddler, he supposedly came in dehydrated often, a recent claim here that he should have been 230 or so is likely right. Which he was towards the end of his first career.

Your grudge against Atlas is that he has a moral compass unlike your idol D'Amato, a flake that mismanaged Patterson's first title reign and turned the other cheek when a teenage Tyson was molesting girls in the Catskills for his own interests. Cus enabled a monster for personal gain and we saw how that played out. Teddy called him out and he was 100% correct.

Teddy Atlas has more integrity than anyone I met in this sport. He raised millions of dollars thru his charity that has helped families and kept kids off the street. Teddy Atlas packs a gigantic hall every year with thousands who travel from all over the country out of their respect for him and his actions. But Klompton the Great calls him a punk.

You're some character. Up those meds man ...
