People lie all time. Arum lies, as Ellerbe said "history shows you who is lying". History (as well as Ross Greenburg) now shows Ellerbe is one hell of a liar as well.

Why is it hard for you to believe Teddy Atlas is capable of lying? And yet, you sound so convinced that Pacquiao is lying about PEDs use that people have accused him without any documentable proof?

C'mon man I like Teddy but get your facts straight. What Teddy said is his "source" that he trusts saw an email to the Floyd camp that stated will you keep it quiet if Manny tests positive. Teddy never saw the email so it was dumb to say anything, and don't you think if the email existed Floyd would have shown it to everyone and said "See, I told you so"!.

Like I said, I like Teddy, but he is wrong quite a bit. Just a few months ago, I can't remember who the fighter was, but Teddy said to him on air that "a little birdie told him his upcomming fight was off". The fighter had no idea what he was talking about and the fight took place as scheduled. I can't remember for sure, but I think it was Adamek about the Minto fight, maybe someone here can correct me.

So, if his source there was BS, don't you think that maybe he gets fed bad info and reporst it occasionally.

Come on man! it was just a 38/39 year old boxer coming back after a long period of inactivity against the best boxer in the world. I like Teddy too but to say things like that on air can be potentially libelous.

Teddy, although the worst predicter in history, is awesome because he's a man of integrity. He's not afraid to speak up against corruption even if it means his job. Big ups to Teddy, his announcing skills are terrible but his charisma makes up for it and he's always good for entertaining banter. Teddy don't take ****

 

Povetkin will never be ready for Wlad. You get a chance at the champ while you are in your prime, you take it. Does Povetkin really think he will get better? He's 31 years old

Obvious would be to say, hang on, a 39 year old fighter who has been inactive for almost 2 years, got outboxed by Cotto in 07, cant compete with a younger guy who just happens to be arguably the best fighter in the world, a guy he's trying to box who trumps him every department technically, even in his prime? that would be commonsense to me.

He ALWAYS asserted his guy wasn't ready. However understanding boxing he realized that sometimes, ready or not, a "shot" can get you a nice pay day so, ready or not, the man is a PRIZE fighter. So when he examined the "PRIZE" even THAT was screwed up. So "EVEN IF" he took the "shot", Teddy knew he wasn't ready for, he wouldn't have even gotten PAID well for it. So it was all around bad "opportunity" on MULTIPLE levels (readiness and financially).

Atlas continues ****ing over everyone that gets involved with him. He;slike a club with velvet rope that keeps turning people away, making others desperate to get in. They get in, and find they got screwed. Also, a lot of guys he claims he turned down never even came to him.

When he took over Moorer first thing he did, after contracts were signed, of course, was sstart saying Moorer was 'Hard to work with" "not ready," and his favorite "Mentally weak" Mooorer was most sought aftrer fighter at time, had won all sorts of amateur and pro titles, undefeated, but Atlas makes like he is charity worker.

He is doing almost same with Povetkin. Simon Brown, Tyrone Trice, Donnie La Lolnde, all said he ****ed them over, was awful trainer, and a coksucker. He sai dall were going nowhere, all did better after leaving him (Simon Brown was already champ when he signed Atlas, fired him after 2 fights) Trice split from Atlas afte rone week, he was number one contender, Atlas took him on, started his 'You don't really know how to box, you must do as I say ...." Trice said **** this. Atlas claimed he was weak, going nowhere. He said same of Brown. Well, year later, they had 2 great matchs, and won fight of year award for one. LaLonde, you all know about.

Also Kirk Johnson, Shannon Briggs (Briggs ain' tgot guts to say in interviews his real feelings on Atlas) Elvir Murqui, and many others. Then you have the managers he screwed, like Povetkins. Dave Wolf took Atlas ou tof nowhere, Atlas had NO FIGHTERS-----NONE when Wolf gave him break, and some money, to train LaLonde. To this day, Wolf regrets it.

Atlas strong point--he has only one--is promoting self. He makes money, keeps his name out there, keeps scandals out of media, or has reporters cover his ass, and convinces people he is for real. That sums him up.

 

**** Teddy. He is a miserable guy. Dude is so negative i get turned off when I try to watch FNF.

 

He's an *******. Whenever I watch him in ESPN all i hear is him talking negative stuff about boxing.

 

has anybody actually read teddy's autobiography? either boxing is really, really, really corrupt and TA is one of the last bastions of common sense and fairness or he is the biggest liar in the world. I always find myself leaning towards beleiving him. His bitterness and personal prejudices may lead him to make some dumb ass predictions but i just don't think he is an out and out liar
