he wasnt champion at the time and is now. AT THIS POINT A KLITSCHKO FIGHT IS TO MUSH OF A RISK. Its not hard to figure out that Haye USED the brothers to get on the HW map.

Haye pulled out... got a different shot at a belt...took it, and got the belt... the situation has changed THUS what haye was willing to then is NOT what he is willing to do now. **** that was like 2 years ago already:yep

Personally I think Haye had every confidence of beating Klitschko when he first moved up however after his struggle against Valuev and then subsequent fight with Ruiz where although he dominated he was getting hit on a fairly consistent basis his thought is that if it was Wladimir and not Ruiz hitting him that he would ****ed with a capital F therefore defence improvements are needed before he even considers stepping into the ring with Wlad.

I think Haye burst into the heavyweight scene full of **** and vinegar after his win over Barrett.

But he then came to his senses, and had second thoughts about whom he thought he could really beat, and who to stay away from.

It's funny because I think if the fight with Wlad - Haye had gone ahead as scheduled Haye would of beat him. Confidence is everything in boxing and Haye was coming in on a high. Style-wise Haye gives Wladimir fits, as a tall fighter myself one of the most awquard opponents is a low guard jerky head type fighter who moves a lot, it completely throws your rhythm and the temptation is to commit to shots at the wrong times and get countered.

As it is, Haye has lost confidence that he can beat Wlad. So he can't beat him. He's looking at Vitali as the easier option then he'll go at Wlad.

The fight would have been high-drama from the get-go, no doubt. Each with power in both hands, and each fast and skilled.

But confident or not, I think Haye, had he went through with the fight, would have been taken out. Not only is (was) Haye confident, so was/is Wlad........:good

What struggle with Valuev? While it was a terrible fight to watch, Haye dominated that fight. People seem to cling to the bad bad comentating by Jim Watt as some sort of justification for it being a close fight. Jim Watt is a joke amongst British fight fans for misscalling what is actually happening in the ring. Even the German press gave it to Haye by quite a few rounds.
It was probably 10-2 to Haye ffs.

Yeah your probably right. I just really recall feeling at that time Haye could do it.

It's still the most exciting fight in boxing arguably the two hardest punchers in todays game both susceptible to punches guaranteed drama. A far more exciting prospect than Haye - Vitali.

    and even more now

    WLAD WANTS HAYE BAD!!!!!!

last guy wlad wanted this bad was Austin when austin was talking ****. Wlad has "gone through the motions" on some of his fights, I admit it and so does Wlad.... but trust me, Haye has given wlad motivation and IMO it was a mistake to "wake the lion"

He struggled to get off all night its understandable with his hand and Valuev being so large. But he's lucky to of got a decision with such an absurdly low work rate. Valuev controlled the whole fight was busier and was dictating the tempo. Valuev's size distorts matters but consider that it was two same-sized fighters, Haye getting a decision based on a 12 punch per round output .. and a large proportion of those were weak jabs to the body is not even conceivable.

Which is EXACTLY what Haye wants Wlad to do.
    God. I love this sport.
Protect yourself at all times and may the best man win.
Cheers to you all and goodnight.

Walking forward and missing by miles is not ring generalship. You can't score on that basis alone. SNV was made to look a mug.
    Anyway, I'm off to bed.
    Goodnight.

    :huh
Just because wlad is motivated doesnt mean he will lose his head in the ring. Wlad will be just as focused as always
