I understand the sport of boxing is far away from being perfect, but please lets not pretend like its the only one that has problems. Teddy as of lately has become more annoying than ever before. Every week on FNF he finds a topic bashing boxing. Last night once again he goes crazy about the Richard Abril decision. I understand anyones frustration, but then to start bashing the sport even more and saying no wonder we are losing fans specifically to MMA. Other weeks hes bashing todays fighters have no dedication and dont train hard like other previous generations. Then he bashes every big event in boxing and finds a way to discredit the fight event. This guy is upset no one wants to train and be part of his camp. Stop the crying Teddy and if you are finding it difficult to make money in this sport other than your ridiclous bitching on FNF find something else to do.

I'm amazed that some people are still fooled by him in spite of his terrible history as a trainer and his repetitive, biased commentary on ESPN.

Teddy says he went to Donny LaLonde's apartment with a gun and intentions of killing him. Obviously he's not mentally stable.

Eh, to be honest, he told nothing but the God honest truth last night about the Rios/Abril controversy. As far as I can tell, Teddy is the only one with balls to make a comment like that. So, I have no problem with Teddy. His scorecards are usually right and he doesn't mince words. His only problem is incorrectly predicting fights. He's great when it comes to assessing a fight though.

I think he gets a lot of unfair slack just for his weird analogies and quirky mental stat, but he does care about the sport and gives good technical insight from time to time.

Im sorry when you have guys like Timothy Bradley, Floyd, Manny, Nonito, Cotto and the list goes on that train with pure passion. What is Teddy talking about no dedication?

Controversy and robberies in boxing has been going on since day 1, not just something recently. Bad decisions have occur in MMA. Bad offciating in NFL, NBA scandals from referees, MLB full of roids. Come on lets not be fool. We have all these sports losing money and different owners borrowing money. Arenas being moved. Boxing has survived everything and every year still brings the most viewers when it comes to a PPV event. Lets not be fool by an angry man who cant get a job other than FNF because he takes the least offer.

You obviously didn't pay much attention to the content of his speech.

Your personal opinion of him is not allowing you to analyze his words.

He made some very good emotional statements, try to judge his words and not judge him.

I like Teddy who says what we're all thinking about this damn sport. It's hard for anybody to watch Molina/Kikrland and Rios/Abril and not think those fights were fixed

Boxing personalities in general spend too much time complaining about the sport. It doesn't even matter if they're telling the truth, it doesn't help the situation, it only makes it worse.

Teddy isn't telling the truth, so cut the BS folks.

Boxing doesn't need a national regulation or committee to govern it. That will not fix any of the ****ing problems with the sport.

the problem with teddy is that he hates the sport as much as we do.....but he also loves it as much as we do.....he's annoying, ya.....so when he rants off like that it makes him seem more annoying.....

but at the end of the day, he should learn how to seperate his love for boxing, with his job in boxing.....bernardo osuna is one of the best commentators ever....he really adds a nice plus to espn now....and his translations are always spot on.....

As they should. No one else is. Boxing fans are too complacent when it comes to bad decisions. Boxing fans have this 'It's Boxing' mentality and don't get upset about the bad decisions. There's only a handful of people that criticize the BS in boxing that are in a position to do it in a public manner. If it takes a Atlas or a Rafael so be it.

Yea, the Atlas hate is ridiculous. I guess because he doesn't spend his time hating on boxers of the past or wastes time speaking about how much he hates boxers like the majority of posters on ESB do, he's a piece of **** and should be fired. Apparently.

If Teddy and ESPN want to fix the sport, they need to be organizing boycotts of corrupt promotors.

Teddy does talk some nonsense, he is just being honest here. Why not bash boxing? Its decisions like that which creates a bad name for the sport. A commentator talking about it is only a good thing, at least hes being honest.
