ESPN televises a lot of mismatches & fights with replacement fighters due to last minute dropouts.....it happens too often and puts the commentators in a bad position.

I watch a lot of the fights on the Spanish TV networks who have competitive fights with fighters that just beat the sh!t out of each other.

Plus you have all those good looking Latina women walking around with their titties out on display.

Imagine if we screamed corruption with every bad call in baseball, the league would be destroyed. We simply call the ump an idiot or a blind bat.

Thank You. I just dont understand why he keeps on bringing this single governing bs every time. Boxing has been able to survive all these years because of all the organizations it has. Even though they have cause many problems we cant depend on one governing body.

Does Teddy realize that MMA has to deal with the exact same athletic commissions? They are the ones that assign the judges are they not? Maybe Atlas should be the judge of every fight to make him happy.

Fired for telling the truth? Does Boxing need a Federal Boxing Commission? Yes. Are bad decisions hurtful to both Boxers and the sport of Boxing? Yes. Does the negative controversy in Boxing create more room for MMA to gain combat sport market share? Yes.

This is what is wrong with you sheep. There is a place for the truth. That "Go Along to get along." BS is what has most organizations screwed today

No, they have unified management which forms an umbrella of "regulation" in the sport.

I don't agree with Teddy to oftern, but I think he was spot on. The sport has fallen so much from when I started watching, unless something is done it will continue to detiriorate.

I think you are 100% wrong, you're entitled to your opinion, but how the hell would a national commision not help when it sancitioning bodies that currently run it are incompetent and corupt?

National commission isn't going to change corruption, just move corruption to the national level where it will be even harder to get away from, like it is now, where if you think a commisssion is corrupt you just don't go to that state.

On top of that it won't change how referees are trained and selected for fights. Won't change how judges are selected and how they judge fights, won't stop promotors from still getting their way.

On top of all of that, it would be illegal according to the US law of the land.

Im sorry what makes you think that one commision wouldnt be corrupt? Having multiple bodies gives everybody options. Could you just imagine just the WBC running things:-( especially the way they have been lately. Lets not be fool boxing is not the only sport that corruption and bad decisions take place. This has been going on since day 1. Teddy should stop being a bitter angry man and stay proffesional during his job. You dont see Steward or even guys like Max going crazy like he does even though they know whats going on. Let the fans handle the controversy. How are you going to get new young fans when you have an idiot on national tv week after week bashing boxing instead commentating on fights taking place.

Let me ask you this. What is more effective:

A bunch of keyboard warriors complaining (rightfully so) on a website about the problems in Boxing -OR- A key figure in Boxing speaking out on ESPN?

Whose voice do you think rings louder? You think judges or refs log in to ESB after every boxing event just to read our threads and are reasonable enough to consider our opinions?

Teddy's intention wasn't to bring the sport down but to shame the corrupt judges and/or refs to the point where they feel threatened enough to wise up. Hopefully it's working.

Neither fixes anything and Teddy Atlas isn't a key figure in anything but self promotion.

Paying customer's voice rings the loudest when they stop bank rolling these sham shows.
