Teddy Atlas Street fight stories "Me VS. the 20.........

I heard he went back in time and he was the true cause of making the dinosaurs extinct....he killed them all with his bare hands.

 

Him being tough in Rikers is suspect story. He weighed 120 pounds when Cus rescued him from having to stay there. The idea that Shannon Briggs -AND four of his friends from Bed Stuy needed Atlas to defend them was wackier.

All that stuff he does before fight, the Atlas Corner stuff, is a joke, He used to try showing that to guys in Gleasons, and got laughed at a lot. He is tough in a way, but is more BS than anything else. Not much of a trainer either.

 

I think it was something of both. This big guy wanted his sneakers and Teddy went after him.The thought of him going after the guy is kinda comical in my mind.:yep

 

That was my take on it, plus theres little grains of truth in all the stories, even with the massive exageration and overanalysis.

I enjoyed the parts about training Moorer.

 

He will be more truthful in his next book, dealing mostly with how he survived and got through his short jail stint at Rikers Island. "Bend over and Take it Like a Man!" How I Survived Jail, by Teddy Atlas, Truth Publishers, with forward by Paul Malinaggi , 281 pages. Due out in 2008

 

Teddy is not my favourite announcer but I would believe whatever he told me and thanks to y'all I will now buy his book.

Damn that **** is funny, my stomach hurts. I dig the ring tone idea! LOL

 

All I know for sure about Atlas is that he's got a fairly big scar running down the side of his face. Didn't get on the inside fast enough that time, I guess.

 

I read somewhere (Maxim maybe?) an interview with Teddy and he said the scar is the result of a car accident. Man, I'd hate to see the car...
