Teddy Atlas suggests Brook GGG fight was fixed - My thoughts on the fight

Teddy is correct. But that doesn't make the fight a fix.

The plan was obviously for Brook to give it his best -and as soon as the going got tough -he'd be pulled outta there. His corner were waiting for that moment from round 1. Brook had nothing to worry about apart from collecting his SBO money.
It was a cash out fight . Most knew that as soon as it was signed.

 

Throughout his career Teddy has been saying stupid **** to keep himself relevant. This one can go in his personal highlight reel.

 

I always thought when they took this fight, there would be a dodgy stoppage the first time Brook took serious punishment.
In my opinion they were milking the title fighting nobodies not willing to fight anyone who was a threat.
Then jump 2 weights fight the most feared guy in the world everyone is lauding your bravery, but get out at the first sign of real distress.
End result a huge payday and kudos, while still a belt holder then go back to defending against bums.

 

Agulo vs Lara. broken orbital bone the fighter did not continue. Angulo had massive swelling above that facial bone.

Until there is more than speculation and we get some facts related to the medical treatment for brooks injury I am reserving rumors and accusations.

let the facts ruin a guys reputation , not rumors.

 

I said this the day after the fight.
Watching it for the second time, it became obvious that Brook's corner sent him out for that last round so that he could just cover up and wait for the towel to come in.

That's not to say he didn't try to win early on, or that it wasn't to do with his eye.

What a crock. Someone like Atlas should know better than to spurt crap like this.

How can you say a fighter with a broken orbital bone, fighting someone with a granite chin and heavy hands threw the fight?

I met Atlas in Vegas and thought he was an absolute fire cracker, pretty funny really. But this is ridiculous. In a sport where the fighters well being is already disregarded by a large number of fans, people with a voice like Atlas should not be pushing people to views like this.

 

Atlas should look at Mayweather-Pacman if he thinks GGG-Brook. That was the epitome of a fixed fight.

 

The broken eye socket was confirmed when Brook went to the hosptial..................Atlas is an idiot and where is his proof the fight was fixed? Brooks was out gunned and would have gotten hurt badly, ending his career, Brook's corner did the right thing....................
