Atlas is good on the tactical side of things (despite the mixed metaphors that seem to come from the far ends of deep space sometimes) but some of the other **** he comes off with is truly bizarre at times. He also rates how often a foreign fighter has fought in America way to much, even if the opponent is not American either! He also ****ed me off when he pretty much shat on Super G Proksa for no reason when he was fighting Mora by randomly blurting out "I've never thought Proksa was a good fighter at all" Jesus what did he do, hit on your 15 year old niece or something?
Atlas has *****...you have to give him credit for that. He actually mugged Mike Tyson and pushed George Foreman. That's like beating Lennox Lewis at chess.
For whatever reason I just can't agree here... I still he beat Ross, Ambers and Williams convincingly
He used to say this but it seems that Teddy, among others, respect Wlad more nowadays. Wlad is legit, one of the best jabs of all time, always a solid gameplan, a GREAT TEAM behind him (this is important to remember) a legit puncher, would rate him easily among the top 5 biggest punchers in history. If people are going to use his previous losses to **** on him, then we should do the same with other greats as well and that is not done most of the time. There is no reason why he shouldn't be able to compete well in any of the previous eras, bias gonna speak though.
As I said Wlad has had several more successful years to consolidate his position since Atlas made those comments.
No, i'm serious..just have not had time to start a bunch of threads. Being a hater is not as easy as people think. You have to dedicate your life to these boards, and that will be tough, I've already asked my wife for a divorce, and storing up can goods in my office...just youw ait, board, the hate is going to flow with Klitscho vs Legion threads.
I don't care if you are being serious or not, that is some of the funniest stuff I have read in a long time, occasionally I really enjoy this forum :deal :bbb
So lets take a more recent example of a fighter who gets a lot of d**k riders Paci-OW. Starts off at 112, wins titles at Fly, Bantam, Feather, Light, Light Welter, Welter, and Light Middle. Duran, starts career at 118, titles at 135, 147, 154, and 160. Just the one small difference. Duran did it with NO CATCHWEIGHTS.
He lets personal dislike colour his objectivity ,that is as kind as I can be , actually I don't think he is capable of objectivity. He's a pr*ck.
I'll take you seriously when you have the nuts to address direct questions about your petty ripostes . Till then you'll remain a gutless Iago. Not had time ? Perhaps you should have got your act together earlier in life and made your pile sooner so that you had ,like me all the time in the world .I retired at 56, ten years ago. How old are you Mr 9 to 5 Nothing? A Hater? I posted this appraisal of Wlad in the General yesterday afternoon. "Wlad frustrates because he is obviously capable of so much more he has a tremendous physique maybe the best ever, top end power, accuracy a great jab , excellent left hook and a dynamite cross, his weaknesses are his chin and his inablity to fight inside ,but he is so rangy and powerful he nullifies opponents attempts to work up close ." I would say they are positive comments by any standards ! You just keep playing away on your I Pad in your little box, one eye on the door in case your boss comes in and you get a slap on the wrist for being naughty. Wage slave.
Sounds reasonable. Farhood's right. You can't dismiss him just for the mediocre era he competes in. But, Farhood didn't exactly give him a glowing recommendation either. I think his lack of chin, inability to recover from being hurt and lack of nimble foot movement, would be his downfall against the greats. He could probably beat some of the smaller, lighter punching guys like Jimmy Ellis, Jerry Quarrey and Floyd Patterson. Guys like Tyson, Foreman, Frazier, Liston take him out. Ali would outbox him. I think Lewis and him would be a good fight because either could hurt the other, but Lewis was overall better and I think he would beat Wlad too.
I would bet on Wlad to beat Ellis,Quarry and Floyd.Frazier I'm undecided on . The other names you mentioned I pick to beat him. I think Lennox would get to him quick and steam roller him he could be as laid back as Wlad but had a more warrior mentality imo, I like Bowe to beat both Klits too. One thing I've been watching Wlad's fights the past couple of weeks , his footwork has improved immeasurably, no more Bambi-like staggers when he gets tagged and he is quickly out of range when most shots are incoming.
