    Al Brown claimed the World title on 18th June 1929 after beating Gregorio Vidal on points over 15 rounds.
    Pete Sanstol claimed the title after beating Archie Bell on the 20th May 1931 in Montreal, this was sanctioned by the Montreal Athletic Commission and Canadian Boxing Federation. The contest was fought over 10 rounds even though it was for the bantamweight championship.
