When asked by a reporter what about Klitschko and Povetkin now, will that fight ever happened? Atlas responds, "I dont want to think about Klitschko. I want to think about Povetkin and this title. We'll think about Klitschko some other time." :rofl Povetkin has been Klitschko's mandatory for 2 years now. WBA is a freakin' joke. atsch
AP will probably fight Wlad after 1 defense (ala Haye). He wants to collect a few coins first. Povetkin is too vulnerable to a loss by a few guys out there so I'm sure he doesn't want to miss out on a Klitschko payday.
Well, he's never going to beat Wladimir anyway. From what I saw in that fight if Chagaev had thrown with volume like Liakhovich was he would have won the fight. It's so infuriating watching fighters lose because they aren't letting their ****ing hands go I think if Adamek could take a fight with Povetkin to a decision he would win it. AP has to make adjustments because whenever Chagaev was the aggressor he had nothing
That's wishful thinking. I expect a Holyfield, Rahman, Mormeck defense. I would love to see any matchups between Povetkin/Adamek/Liakhovich. All are good combination punchers, they would all be capable of taking eachothers power, they're all willing to trade. Any of those guys against eachother would be great fights imo. I actually would have rather seen Povetkin fight Liakhovich instead of Chagaev.
I suppose that can happen. I was assuming before last night that the winner will be looking to a Klitschko fight, but it doesn't seem like Povetkin is going to do that. Liakhovich will certainly not be a 9/1 underdog against Povetkin. Povetkin is a good accumulation puncher but he never had Chagaev in trouble last night, and he looks vulnerable to anyone willing to let their hands go I'll be praying Sergei doesn't get into the ring with another puncher bigger than himself. The way he fought makes me think he can pull the upset against someone like Adamek/Povetkin/Chagaev. Maybe Chambers :think
Lyahkovich made a huge mistake by not fighting Vlad for a huge payday, instead he got knocked out by Helenius! Really bad mistake. Povetkin is not ready for Vlad, but then, who is? I think the WBA understands that nobody is ready for Vitali or Vlad, so they make a sub-WBA title, this could actually create some good interesting fights......................
and what title would that be teddy?
