Teddy Picks Wilder

Atlas has an inherent bias against EE fighters, always holding them to higher standards. His opinions are biased.

He dislikes Fury cause he's chubby, not his image of a chisled HW champ.

 

I used to think that but teddy has become the biggest lomachenko and usyk fanboy.

 

Wilder has been really hungry for this fight. Fury has been in the celebrity lifestyle mode. He is not as hungry or scared for this fight

 

A lot of people hate Wilder that they don't mind it being a one sided demolition job.

 

At this point I imagine Teddy must know what he is doing. Predict the fighter he hates loses so he can bet on the real winner.

 

Really? I know he picked Usyk but was not aware of any love for Loma. He hated the Klitschkos and wasn't too high on GGG.

I disagree and think he clearly beat the count. As for the ref shitty ones perhaps. I bet Smoger wouldn’t have….

 

The only way Fury loses is if the fight is fixed imo

 

People have said this for the best part of a decade.

Same old ****, same result - Fury wins.

 

I remember when I joined this forum last year Wilder was total dog ****, lost every round he ever fought, complete fraud, etc.

Slowly but surely positive sentiment has been creeping back in and it's much more balanced now.

He did look off, my opinion is that it's because he's on the wrong side of 30, reliant on physical attributes that don't age as well as strength, and while he hasn't had lots of wars he's been in the ring quite a bit. The wear and tear is adding up.

I'd be happy to see Wilder win. Frustrating as he was in some ways, he was never boring. I am just not expecting him to do it.

Anything could happen though, with these two goofballs in the ring you never know what's going to happen. I actually believe a Wilder decision win is more likely than people think.

 

Yes, and they would be a bad referee. Look what happened.

And the Cunnigham bout was 8 years ago and Fury was not at all focussed at the start of that bout. It's a useless reference.

But I don't think Fury looks right and Wilder could win.

Wilder certainly has more of a reason to make adjustments.

I do feel that the 'intelligence' (as in - intel) favours Wilder here for a change: the first two fights Fury knew exactly what Wilder would turn up, and Wilder didn't know which Fury would turn up - this should be reversed here. This is an underappreciated factor in match ups by my concern.
If Wilder's team is competent, he will have improved at least a bit to deal with front-foot Fury and hopefully (for him) learned some new tricks to throw Fury off for a few rounds. With Wilder, he doesn't need to be extremely effective, he just needs that opening, so this could be a big factor.

That said, Fury has a much higher ring IQ and will be the one adapting in the ring. Equally, from what I've seen and heard from Wilder's camp it doesn't look like good news for the Bomber.
