The unknown in this fight is whether Saunders has other levels he hasn't had to find yet. It's unlikely but not an impossibility.
very good points. i don't much like Billy Joe but he clearly is better in some areas than Canelo - those that you listed. but i think he has no chance of cracking that granite chin and even if he wins say 7-8 clear rounds he'll still lose on the cards.
Saunders lack of comp and big fight experience will be his undoing in this fight. He has the style but too bad he wasted his talent being inactive and beating no one of note.
You know a great thing about this sport is friendships are created etc. In sparring sometimes you use guys down on their luck the opportunity to generate income etc. Likewise as I said having observed Canelo I think he is a fundamentally decent person which I am not sure Saunders is. If you say something odious posters will call you out as you are not God or infallible.
I agree though his talent may be a bit overrated. People will be shocked that Canelo is in fact the better boxer of the two.
not even that. just because you move more, dont make you faster. canelo is faster shifting from point a to point b. his half steps are faster, he just doesnt cede ground as willingly as bjs or retreat as much. but bjs isnt faster.
Saunders has faster feet, the problem is Canelo doesn't have slow feet its just that he likes to hold his feet and counter. He has the sufficient footspeed to walk Saunders down and thats what's going to happen. He walk march forward and work the body. He will wear Saunders down, outwork him and win a convincing UD
He was supposed to contractually get an English judge ... but oh yeah, no he isn't. I'll trade you a bigger ring for an English judge any day
