Hello everybody, Tonight we have a good one. Euri Gonzalez (19-1) vs. Cosme Rivera (31-13) This looks like Euri Gonzalez is supposed to Win right? Well lets take a quick peak into the past when Cosme Rivera was bought in on Telemundo to Lose: vs. 15-1 Raul Pinzon, Cosme KOs him then later becomes a NC. vs. 27-1 Joel Julio, Julio is dropped in the 12th Round and saved by the bell to win a SD. vs. 22-4 Felix Flores, Cosme with the upset! vs. 18-2 Gilberto Reyes, Cosme pulls off big KO on Gilberto, who was really on a roll before this fight! Gilberto never the same since. I think Cosme Rivera is going to Win again tonight! Speaking of upsets, check out the Co-Main Event: William Silva (11-0 8 KOs) vs. Jorge Ruiz (7-9 0 KOs) Looks unfair right? I predict a close fight. Jorge Ruiz is game! Of his 9 Losses, 7 of the guys were undefeated. The Records of most of William Silva's opponents is beyond ridiculous. Jorge Ruiz will Win! Depending on how fast the Main Event is, we might get to see a decent amount of the Undercard. We have Yuriorkis Gamboa's brother Yoelvis who I've never met, but I've only heard bad things about him. Big time on the parties, street fights, getting arrested, looked bad in his Debut, etc.. His opponent is 3-1, this could maybe be another upset. I'm not sure though. I'll be rooting for Yoelvis. We have Cuban Christopher De La Paz on the card too, who appears to be taking a step up in competition tonight. I've seen all 3 of his fights and this guy is good. Trained by Jorge Rubio. I don't see De La Paz losing anytime soon. 11:35PM Eastern Time for those interested.
Hey. No I don't know much about him, I first heard about him when he lost to Saul Alverez. Seems pretty solid though with the TKO loss aside. I posted Stalin Lopez vs Josh Marks but Freddy says the fights called off?
Euri isn't bad, but, his defense could use some polishing. Took a lot of shots against Canelo. But, Rivera has been on the downslide as of late. Has lost 2 in a row. He looked like shite against 'El Perro.' So, I am going with 'El Millon.'
I saw the Alvarez fight, and he looked like a standard Colombian puncher (yes, I know he's Dominican, but I'm talking about style here) in the mold of Alejandro Berrio or Joel Julio to me. Stalks a bit, looks for the home run shot, doesn't set things up with the jab well. He's signed (or at least was signed) to GBP, so they're probably thinking Rivera is someone he can war with, get some experience from and probably come out with the win.
