After seeing complaints about famous and some not so famous boxers over the years, it got me thinking, are there any boxers that are flawless or nearly flawless in the eyes of the fans? Not only talent-wise but in general?

For example, some of the things I've seen in recent years:

Manny Pacquiao: "Oh he has a big head, he must be on peds", "Oh he lost to Marquez all 4 times...", "Oh he's afraid of needles..."

Juan Manuel Marquez: "Oh he had acne so he was definitely on the juice against Pac", "He drinks his own pee..."

Gennady Golovkin: "He should fight Ward...", "He's only fighting tomato cans...", "Lil g..."

Floyd Mayweather Jr: "Caught using IV injections...", "He never fought anyone in there prime...", "Ducked many fighters..."

These are just some examples and I`m sure there are more. I`m not saying I agree or disagree with these but from what I`ve seen, these have been the biggest discussions.

Who are some fighters you think wouldn't get any flak or very little in your mind?

    From a technical perspective, McCallum.

    In terms of well-roundedness, SRL.

    No, there's no such thing.

...but if you hone in on just technical skill you don't get much closer than one. If you are looking for the nearest thing in reality to a perfect all-around boxer, you have the other.

Lopez was better all around than either one and closer to "perfect".

Well, Pac had no chin so he resorted to using HGH. And he fought most of his top comp when they were past it or at a catchweight. GG needs to step it up. Floyd was close to perfect, but no fighter was ever perfect, and Marquez IMO beat Pac 2 out of the 4 times with the last being the sweetest ko since McCallum caught Curry with that left hook. That's what I read when it comes to big discussions on this and other boards. I disregard fanboyism posts, so I might see the thesis statement of the aforementioned, but I don't respond to it with boxing knowledge.

With that said, the most complete fighters who got little to no flak IMO were Ali, Robinson, Sal Sanchez...hell there's too many to name.

Perfect persons don't exist, nor perfect boxers. Some believers would tell that God Almighty is perfect, but this is boxing forum, and it's not a place to discuss about...But, there are some boxers, close to perfection just now, and some who should be close soon.
Close now : Gonzalez, Lomachenko, Crawford, GGG, Ward, Kovalev

Should be close soon : Postol, Spence, Usyk

I didn't mention HW boxers, because I feel it should be special thread for them.

Roberto Duran at lightweight was the closest thing to perfection I've seen personally.

I also imagine that Sugar Ray Robinson at welterweight was of a similar stature, but sadly we don't have much of his pre-middleweight fights filmed.
