How would you desribe his style?

    What are his strengths?

    What are his weaknesses?

    Can/will Ding beat him?

Off what Ive seen hes very limited but with the typical German turtle defence. When he opens up he opens in sprints - a bit like Abraham.

But he looks very limited boxing wise but dude has some pop. Will never be anything big and I believe that Ding will KO him in 8 or less.

Probably the fittest guy in boxing right now who has an incredible will to win. He will keep coming and has a very good chin.

On the downside, he's technically limited and his firepower is nothing special.

Hes not that great. I think top guys like Wlodarczyk, Cunningham, Adamek, Bell and Mormeck beat him. Others as well but those guys are just the ones that come off my head. I do think however that he will beat Ding.

The only fight i seen him was v Hill. Firat connected the cleaner punches but other than that he didn't really impress. Hill had the better workrate and I think Hill wouldv'e won the fight if he did the circle technique like he did in round 1.

This is the walk in I uploaded on my youtube a few days ago.

He looks like somone with a great chin but I dunno about that, cause I dont think it has really been tested.

Heres the Virgil Hill Circle Technique

You must have mixed him up with a different fighter, mate!

Arslan is a feather fisted brawler who cant crack an egg with his soft punches. However, his stamina is outstandingly good and to go toe to toe for 12 long rounds Wilson must enter the ring well prepared.
Wilson wont knock Arslan out. Arslan ' s chin is great. He has shared the ring with better punchers than Wilson.

If you should name one fighter in boxing today who fits the description of a pressure fighter, you have to name Arslan. He is relentless pressure, stamina and a tight double guard, but that's all there is, he is not particulary skilled nor does he have good power. If you can handle pressure fighters, it's easy to beat him.

You are right in saying that he is not a great fighter. He isnt. Thats for sure.Nevertheless, I would bet quite a sum of money on him against fighters like Adamek( who didnt look convincing at all in his cruiser weight debut fight against a Croation journeyman) or Wlodacyzk( who got a gift decision against cruiser weight gatekeeper Sergej Karanevich).

Arslan is a mentally tough fighter whose pressure is difficult to cope with.
He impressively beat Drozd who is by far the better boxer with much more pop in his fists than Arslan. However,he lost to Arslan.Drodz probably has more firepower than Wilson and tried to take Arslan out early in their encounter. The result of that stupid tactic mistake was Drozd ran out of gas in round 3 of his exciting encounter with Arslan.Drodz, the better boxer with more firepower lost to a fighter who was ready to die inside the ring in order to win a fight.Arslan is one of the mentally toughest fighters out there.
He had an outstandingly entertaining war with Tokarev some years ago.Tokarev is a known banger who- by the way- stopped Arslan's next opponent Wilson some years ago. Tokarev wasnt able to hold Arslan at bay. Arslan was constantly attacking him for 12 long rounds. It was one of the most entertaining cruiser weight fights I have seen within the last couple of years.
Arslan can be outboxed, but hardly be knocked out.

I will root for our fellow poster Darnell Wilson, but he had better stick his nose to the grindstone or he will be the loser of his upcomming bout with Arslan.
Firepower alone wont win you a fight with Arslan. You must be prepared to go toe to toe for 12 long rounds in a war of attrition.Wilson's stamina must be flawless.Otherwise he wont win his fight with Arslan IMO.

    Thanks guys...

After viewing those clips of Arslan, I'm very intrigued by this fight. Arslan is strong as an ox and comes straight forward. He doesn't have the power to hurt Ding, and he'll be right there for Ding's shots. He wont run like Flores or look to stick and move.

    Indeed.

Hes pretty straight forward. Perfect fight for Ding, but no offence to him I still think he will lose.

I'm going to hold off on a pick until I see more of Arslan. His chin seems pretty solid, too.

Hmm - I said he had some pop...Not that he has good power in his hands.

He is a brawler yes - who comes forward. BTW he never met anyone with as strong a punch as Ding. Arslan will be KO'ed in 8 or a bit less.

He is like Andrade with better stamina and he actually covers his face up well.

But like Andrade, he has very little actual boxing skill (probably a bit more than Librado).

 I made the same mistake as Astola had made in his previous post.Ts ! Ts!
I mixed Ding up with Cora. Tokarev stopped Cora, not Wilson who has never been stopped up to now.By the same token Arslan wont be the one who has stopped Wilson for the first time in his career.Thats for sure!

"Arslan has never faced anybody who hits harder than Ding"

I very much doubt your statement. Arslan has faced well known punchers lilke Tokarev,Drozd or Brudov.
For example Tokarev stopped Cora whereas Wilson lost to him. Who is the bigger puncher? Tokarev or Wilson? Drozd also has quite a lot of pop in his fists, and so has Brudov.

Ding wont win this fight by way of knockout. No way! Arslan has one of the best chins out there. He can be outboxed, and his skills are quite limited, but he has proved again and again that his chin is iron-made.

He has shared the ring with Tokarev and Drozd. Wilson doesnt possess more firepower than the two aforementioned fighters.

Otherwise Wilson wouldnt have lost to Cora,a fighter, who was stopped by Wilson's conqueror Tokarev. And by the way Arslan drawed with Tokarev when they met inside a box ring a few years ago.
Arslan has never been stopped in his long pro career, and he for sure has shared the ring with better fighters than Wilson.
