In his fight against Khan, is there a chance he will last the distance? I only saw 2 of his fights, against featherfisted Bradley and his two knockdowns vs Ortiz...

He's had quite a tough upbringing, not that he likes to talk about it mind.

Unlike Ortiz. It's terrible and all what happened to him, but he uses it as a PR boost, definitely. I'm so tired of hearing about it now.

Yeah, it's tiresome now tbh. Sky have been all over it over here for the last month or so.

He's not in the same class as Khan.

Chin is made of good stuff, not granite but good stuff! He is a technically good boxer but imo he is just a notch down from Elite. I think the first 3-4 rounds will be fairly close then Khan should take over.

I'm REALLY pulling for him as I think he is a nice guy and boxing needs someone like him at the top but to be honest Im not convinced.

pretty much what I think. Very good fighter just something missing here and there to be elite. A bit of punching power, a bit of speed a bit of activity. But he'll give anyone Khan included problems

good boxer and tough as hell but kind of average, his only loss is to bradley and got a draw with ortiz he seems to lose the important fights but he gives them hard earned tough victory. hes what i call a stepping stone for upcoming stars.

He's a really good fighter, who hasn't performed at an "Elite" level yet (IMO). I say yet because when you're on the level of Peterson, it doesn't take but one or two things to go your way and all the sudden that very good turns into something better. Peterson at 9/1 odds are nice, I like Peterson and always have thought he was a really good fighter, we'll see if he can have an "Elite" fighter's performance. He's certainly capable of beating Khan, and the "Khan is gonna KO him" crowd are silly as ****.

Those are maybe his two weakest performances since he began stepping up his competition as a prospect about 4-5 years ago, and he was still competitive in both although Bradley won by rightfully wide margins.

His best performances (against fair to good opponents):

Whipped & shut out slick former French amateur star Willy Blain for seven rounds until a hand injury TKO.

Virtually shut out the decent but inconsistent Lanardo Tyner (who would go on to score upset wins over Antwone Smith & Vivian Harris).

Smashed & stopped the aged and diminutive but still scrappy contender-turned-journeyman John Brown.

Destroyed Humberto Toledo faster than anyone before or since (has been in with Humberto Soto & Breidis Prescott).

Virtually shut out hulking Brazilian Antonio Mesquita.

Used his reach, finely tuned boxing skills and some vicious body punching to break down the game Victor Manuel Cayo in his most recent outing, and maybe his most complete.

What do you think stops him from taking that step in class IB?

Well, I don't know that he can't eventually make that step up. Maybe we'll see him finally graduate to the elite level with a huge victory over Khan tomorrow. :p

Realistically, I think sticking so long with just Barry Hunter is part of it. Not that you'd ever expect the brothers to part with the guy who became a father figure to them, but really it doesn't seem like there's much more they can learn from him at this point. Maybe keep him as a familiar voice in the corner and a co-trainer or something, but someone different should be brought in to give them some different looks and try to expand their horizons a bit. Someone with lots of championship experience and some fresh ideas to bring in. Hunter's not a bad trainer, mind you...he just isn't a great one (or terribly experienced at a high level).

Also, he has a tendency to give away his length as he loves to get up close and personal (he almost always has a reach advantage that he completely wastes by scrapping inside). He is much more intelligent and not recklessly aggressive as often as Anthony, but a bit more patience and working outside behind his nice jab could serve him well.

Beyond that, I don't know. Maybe he's a bit light in the backside? Could work on beefing up his power? He's already a gym rat but maybe some specific work on explosiveness could give him a boost.

9/1 odds are juicy. If you bet odds as opposed to focusing on winners, then you might like that look.
