Here's my favorite Mike Perez fight. Endless flurries against a soft chinned tomato can that has no ability to fight back. His punches are so soft the other guy is laughing a Perez. [yt]GUg3HFFJdZQ[/yt] His other fights aren't any more impressive.
idiot. how many boxers do you know have had more than 1 fight in a night. Perez had earlier in the same show halted Edgars Kalnars in 48 seconds.
Word has it that Fres Oquendo beat up on Perez in sparring sessions recently in Ireland. Perez could not block Fres's jabs and rights. Perez's handlers told Oquendo to leave the training camp early, without finishing the full series of sparring matches.
He seems to be good and has a fun fighting style, it'll be interesting to see how he develops. I think he can be a belt holder in the future if he doesn't go the Solis route.
I'll reserve my judgement, until he fights someone who isn't a complete bum. Tyson Fury or Chisora would be a good start.....
If you're looking for a hard hitting southpaw HW prospect jump on the Artur Szpilka bandwagon, Perez's isn't going anywhere. Hell i'd say Abdulsalamov is a better southpaw prospect than Perez.
im not sure if he hasnt fought 'anyone' yet Zack Page, Ismail Abdoul and Thye Fields and Manswell arent totally bums hes 25 yrs old now, so has a lot of time. give him 2-3 years and he will be one of the top players in HW, im pretty sure about it. he is in the same age as Wilder, but he is two levels higher in his career already, and Wilder is still fightin with bums from lower categories, so they cant him him hard anough. anyway, as that guy said, im sure the most hot prospect in HW now, under 24 yrs old is Artur Szpilka, and you will see him in fights with decent boxers soon
