For openers, P, how 'bout the most obvious, 'n easy to refute, fiction that Carter beat Giardello for the title. Joey won a UNANIMOUS decision: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CWcDnzQzJM[/ame]
Well I thought that was coming. I finally saw the fight on youtube a few months ago. It had horrible video and audio. And I did not quite see what I was expecting. I know that Joey G sued the makers of Hurricane and won in effect, and so was expecting to see JG slaughter Carter. Again I did not score this fight, and won't unless better video comes out, but I thought Carter had JG in trouble a few times, and never the inverse, and that it could have gone either way. And that even the announcers seemed to be prejudiced against Carter in not crediting some of what he did. I know Carter's people thought he was robbed. I'll bet that you have Raging Bull as a fave, even though there's much fiction in both the fight accuracy (e.g. no throw down in Rd 1 v Cerdan) and other things throughout the movie, including that it was his friend not brother that many things happened with. So some or much fiction in fights and the history in Raging Bull, yet...
