Tell me how the careers of these men would've turned out had they not went to prison.

    Tony Ayala

    Edwin Valero-Champion

    Ike Ibeabuchi

Would they have become great champions? Would they have reigned a long time as champion? Would they have went undefeated?

These 3 guys had tremendous potential.

    How good were these guys?

Tony Ayala would have run into Hagler and never been champ.
Valero could have been one of the greats right up there with Pac.
Ibeabuchi was insane any wouldn't have been able to stay out of prision. A complete nutter. Very good fighter but probably steroided up based on his incredible physique.

Ike would have been the next great heavyweight champion after Lennox Lewis.

    One question for you first.......
Did you know Ike Ibeabuchi?? Have you ever even met him??? If not how can you make these accusations?? I knew Ike Ibeabuchi from the day he walked in to Curtis Cokes gym fresh from Nigeria. I watched him progress from crude brawler to a accomplished boxer under the tutelage of Curtis Cokes. Without a doubt Ike would have been the natural successor to Lennox Lewis The Klitschko brothers would be long forgotten.
In my opinion Ike was shafted he was kept imprisoned under heavy sedation for months without being officially charged on the word of a hooker. 14 months of heavy sedation is enough to send anyone crazy.
Your accusations he was a nutter & insane & couldn't stay out of prison are unfounded same as your accusation he used steroids. In my opinion Ike suffered the after affects of the Tyson **** case & imprisonment & did not receive a fair crack of the whip.
IncidentltyI'm convinced neither Ike nor Mike Tyson committed the rapes they were both imprisoned for

Respectfully disagree with CJ: Ike showed many signs of serious mental illness before he was imprisoned. He was unraveling already and would never, IMO, have been able to keep it together.

Ayala probably would have won a junior middleweight belt but I think he would have burned out quickly.

    re: Ike

Seemed like his behavior after the Tua fight really started becoming more erratic. I've seen it happen in football players as well where too much head trauma starts producing erratic, out of character behavior that can turn dangerous. I'm not going to deny your firsthand experience that Ike was a good dude when you met him or anything of the sort, but it seemed like that was the path he was going down.

Valero would of killed himself regardless if he went to prison.. he killed his wife.. A better question would be what would happen if he didn't kill his wife..

Ike probably would of got sent back to prison..

He entered the equivalent of a guilty plea (an Alford Plea is when one concedes that the prosecution has enough evidence to convict but the defendant does not admit guilt) -- rather than face the charges in court.

There were FOUR ***ual assault reports/incidents -- two in Arizona and two in Nevada.

Most innocent people don't get accused of such once, much less four times.

One sign of his unstable mental state was that he pulled a butcher knife during a meeting with HBO executives (who wanted to sign him to a 3-fght deal) and slammed it into the table while ranting about how he should be given the championship belts because he was their rightful owner.

Then there's all the stuff about refusing to get on airplanes because there were demons on board, etc.

All of that a long time before any alleged sedation while incarcerated.

Guys, we all know about their past. How would they have done had they NOT gone to jail?

Had Ibeabuchi not gone to jail he would have ended up in a mental ward, is what I'm saying. So his career gets derailed either way.

And I already gave my opinioin on Ayala. Don't know enough about the other guy to comment.
