you know its not hard to figure out, martinez is too big and too good. and nows hes a middlewieght. only reason why pac went up to jr. middle was to fight margo for a money fight and a paper belt. but it wasnt to stay there.

its the same reason why mayweather didnt hang around 154, all he wanted to do was fight dlh and go back to 147 because hes not jr. middlewieght. someone else mentioned rjj going up to heavywieght and beating ruiz. he didnt fight lennox lewis, the true champ, because jones isnt stupid. and what happened, he went right back to light heavy.

these guys moved up in wieghtclasses they know they didnt belong to get money fights. its business. you can't penalize a guy for staying in a division he dosent belong in.

I honestly think that the Margo fight would've been at 147 if Margo didn't have any trouble making the weight. The vacant 154 belt was just a bonus and a a seized opportunity for Pac.

yeah, you could definately say that, but the point is pac was never going to stay at 154, he couldnt even get up to 154 limit. same thing with mayweather. those guys look small even at welterweight.

simple, pac cannot make 154 without losing his important trademark speed.

martinez could probably make super middle and he is a strong middleweight who is good!.

Surely people dont want pac doing another catchweight fight vs maritnez!.i thought people were fed up of pac and catchweight fights??

Pac can make 150 tops and still be his usual self, can martinez get down to about that,im sure he cant.

Floyd if anyone should face martinez if not pac

If Martinez can make 150, Pac's highest weight then the fight is on.

BTW, can you please direct me to your posts critizising RJJ for not taking on Lewis, afterall, he was the HW champ in beating Ruiz.

Haters always have to go 1 further after another, all in the name of seeing the man they hate lose.

    Hmmm....

"We would have to fight at 147, or else, those fights won't happen. I'm not going to let Manny fight below welterweight. It's 147, we found that when Manny can eat, he's comfortable and doesn't have to worry about making weight. Manny weighed in at [144.6] for his fight with Margarito, and I know that," Roach said.

"But I'm not going to have him struggle to make any weight. So he's going to fight at 147, that's now his natural weight, and that's where we're going to campaign at." -Freddie Roach

"Pacquiao vs Marquez Will Be at 147 or No Fight" -Bob Arum

I'll leave you alone to your thoughts now...When you come back can we agree that Pac is in fact a ***** who asks guys to come up two weight classes like you said in your original post, your words not mine.

Just another taxi driver from Mexico desperately hoping Pacquiao loses and you wouldn't mind if he fights Wladimir Klitschko either, right?

As far as I know, there are MANY fans that have been demanding a third fight with Marquez for a long time. Marquez his self has been demanding it for a long time. If it was fair for Pacquiao to move up two weight classes to fight DLH in a fight he was expected to lose brutally in why doesn't Marquez do the same?, he is the loser in the rematch he should be the one running after Pacquiao not the other way around.

Look at it this way taxi driver, Pacquiao doesn't need to fight Martinez either. If there are better fights to make where he is there no need to keep moving up. Last time he moved up he sliced yet another taxi driver's dream to pieces in a cheating filth bag like Margarito, there is no need to keep doing it. You just take notes and admire what Pacquiao is capable of doing and he didn't need to fight over 100 tomato cans to make his resume look impressive and "legendary" like your great idol did.

SO if you believe Manny would beat Martinez, what the **** are you on this thread crying about? "would it be hard, hail yea<---huh?, could Manny do it, hail yea<---twice implies no typo, but I digress". Should he not take hard fights and challenge himself as opposed to fighting guys that 90% of the general boxing public believe he will beat? Of course he should, so again I ask WTF is the problem?

Hey Lance, I'm a grown ass man, I don't have "heros"...and the thread has nothing to do with PBF, why not focus on the subject at hand. The man said Manny would fight JMM at 140, because he's not a ***** like PBF, and wouldn't make the man come up two weight classes...which is completely opposite of the truth. What does that have to do with PBF?

Pac could beat martinez it is not that far fetched. it would be a very tough fight but I don't think Martinez would be able to land at the rate he has in his previous 5 fights.
I also think Manny could exploit a few of his flaws that nobody has exposed vs Martinez as of yet.
