Very. People take what he did in the 90's and in the 2000's even:patsch and hold it against him.

A lot of people don't rank Tyson in the top 10, but instead have Frazier, and Marciano and Patterson, people who he would definitely beat.

He had faster hands than Ali, just not faster footwork or movement.

As far as the post above me goes, he was top 5 head to head, not sure about the best.

    NO WAY!

Prime Holyfield beats him at any time in history.
    Prime Lewis the same.
Prime Bowe would have been a NIGHTMARE for him (my pick for #1 h2h).
Prime Ali would match his speed and be 5 times the boxer.
    Prime Foreman would starch him.

Tyson was a HELL of a fighter. And his reign was definately the most dominant. But he had his weaknesses....and was nowhere near #1 in all time rankings or h2h.

I wouldn't go that far, but he is definitely top ten, and possibly top 5

I think prime to prime Tyson wins a close UD over Holyfield.

    Starches Lewis.

Struggles with Bowe, but KO's him.

Starches Ali, give me a break, watch film of Ali in a critical form.

Foreman a case can be made, I just think Tyson's too much a monster for him.

Of the fighters listed above, only prime Ali possibly beats prime Tyson.

You can't be that much of an absolute monster and not be a top 10 at the very least, I think he beats everyone prime to prime, but that's more so the fact that previous era greats were more so primitive and Lewis just didn't have the chin to weather a prime Tyson.

This is utter bull****, anybody see Zora Folley easily timing right hands on Ali, which was an absolute PEAK Ali.

If Folley, a flat footed, limited skilled slow fighter can time right hands on Ali at ease, win the beggining rounds, what's Tyson going to do?

Starches Ali? Foreman hit harder and was stronger than Tyson and couldnt starch Ali....but Tyson would?

I love Tyson, but his dominance over his inferior competition is far too often confused for his greatness. Ask yourself, who was the best fighter he beat? Old Holmes? Razor Ruddick? Michael Spinks?

And NOBODY KOs a Prime Bowe.

Foreman wailed on an Ali bracing for it though, Tyson would hit him square on with well timed bombs again and again that Ali wouldn't see coming and combined with his speed, which is far greater than Ali's, this is going to be a KO win for Tyson.

Who did he beat, who did he beat, who did he beat.... blah blah blah.

How many fighters rip through competition like that though? And it was damn good competition, not 'great great', but damn good. No other HW in history would have ripped through those fighters like Tyson did, Ali and all of the rest had their struggles at the B, A-, B+ level, but Tyson just obliterated it.

Bowe can be hurt, just takes the right guy. But I agree with you it'll be a competitive war.

Zora Folley? Ali was the best pure boxer the heavyweight division has ever known. He was also very intelligent in the ring and could definately adjust to anything Tyson brings and outbox him.
