On top of all that, arguably the best defender, had the best footwork and upperbody movement, was the smartest, the best ring general, the fastest (again, Tyson was NOT faster than Ali), etc.

The only knock on Ali was, he tended to fight down to his competition at times. He would not make that mistake with Tyson.

Foreman hit Ali because Ali allowed Foreman to do it. Tyson would get OBLITERATED coming in....peppered with the jab, combos, that unreal straight right hand, etc.... Think the Lewis fight only worse.

I have no idea how people equate anything that Tyson did in the ring to how he would handle another ATG? His reign was the most dominant....but too often that is confused with what he would do vs other ATGs.

Vs the people that Tyson beat during his brief reign at the top, Ali would barely lose a round. So which would be more impressive....the early KOs? That wasnt Ali's game.

    Yes, Zora Folley vs. Ali.

How many full Ali fights have you seen, him in his prime that is? His defence is leaky as all hell, average second raters could time big shots on him, such as Folley.

Then why'd he drop rounds to lesser guys? You don't even know what you're talking about here, so I challenge you to watch 5-6 full Ali fights critically, with no rosie coloured glasses and get back to me.

Brooklyn1550 did on several old time ATG's and came back with a factual, critical analysis, you can do the same.

His body and head movement was phenominal...reflexes were tremendous....and I have seen pretty much every Ali fight out there to watch. His defense was amazing.

    Plenty of greats have.

How did Lewis drop rounds to the likes of Vitali Klit? Or Mercer? Or whomever?

As I said, the only knock on Ali was that he fought DOWN to his competition at times.

If Tyson fought during his time, he would not have been as dominant....not in the least.

Foreman, Liston, Frazier, Lyle, Patterson, Norton, Shavers, Foster, Quarry, etc. You could go on and on. Tyson would NOT walk through ANY of these above mentioned fighters....and may even lose to a few of them (tho I would favor him over all but Foreman).

Tyson's h2h ability and even greatness are the product of his dominance over his opponents in a VERY weak era for HWs.

I love Tyson. His reign was the most enjoyable of any fighter I can think of. But that doesnt make him the best all time and definately not h2h.

I have seen plenty of his fights. No fighter is perfect but Ali was close. Fights aginst fighters like Folley don't mean much, Ali still KO'd him. When fights the best then you see him at his best.

My Ball Python has faster reflexes than that. I only paid 20 dollars for him.

If a Pinklon Thomas coming off a coke-downer can land enough jabs against a PEAK Tyson what's Ali going to do?
