how quickly people forget.....there was a large number of pundits predicting gatti. most thought Floyd would win but it wasn't expected to be half as much of a blowout

Gatti was on a good run of form and was the naturally bigger guy. Mayweather was favorite but it wasnt expected to be the beatdown it was.

Some people had this notion that Gatti with his toughness aggression could do some damage.

Its not that I expected Gatti to win because I didn`t but I never expected to see what I seen, it was Mayweather at his amazing best, Gatti didn`t know wtf was going on, it was a masterclass, plain & simple.

This^^^^^... the promotions were fantastic. Sort of like Peter McNeely's promoters pre-Tyson. LOL... you can't do a better job than that!

Gatti was going to get beat up for 10 rounds and be stopped, Floyd did it in 6 - Great performance

I was expecting the slaughter. I mean, it was obvious. I didn't expect though that Marquez would have had such a hard time with Mayweather. I was expecting him to put up a great performance. But it was for naught!

That Buddy McGirt call was priceless, Gatti would die right there and then if not after a short while. He is not a part of this world ironically but he didn't deserve to die for that 140 pound championship. Gatti could have burst him if he could get to him like he did to gabe Ruelas but not the way he was being punished, whipped mercilessly and doing absolutely nothing on defense...
