I'm betting on Ortiz. The Jan fight showed me Berto hasn't improved a bit and may actually be on the decline. His in fighting is worse, I think his punch resistance is fading, his speed is diminishing, and he will not win a trade match with Ortiz because his chin is so ****.

    Ortiz KO in 6

Dude, just give me the 5k instead of losing it all. Berto will be yelling "Timber!" as he knocks Ortreez out.

You missed the boat already. Ortiz was +300 dog for the first fight. This fight is still even edging ortiz.

  5. Argh **** I think im gonna go for Ortiz put a couple hunid on him, he does seem a bit loopy, but if he enters the ring sane and does what we know hes capable of he should take this again..

never was familiar with betting in Vegas... So if I put 200 on Ortiz how much do I win if he wins?

Berto fights flat footed, and his actual footwork is very poor, that's why he'll not beat Ortiz.

This. Plus, I really believe Berto has too much to lose to let Ortiz beat him. He'll find a way to win.

  9. Well that depnds on the odds, which will change as we get closer to the fight...

Depends what the odds are. For example, lets say you go to the sports book and you see Ortiz +150
Then multiply your bet by 1.5
    $200 x 1.5 = $300 (profit)
So a $200 bet on Ortiz will win you $300 (plus you get your $200 back).
    So you'd receive $500, having profited $300.

Lets say the odds are +125 and you bet $100.
    $100 x 1.25, you win $125 (plus your $100 back)

Lets say you bet Berto and it's minus odds since he's the favorite. Lets say he's -170. Then you divide your bet by 1.7
A $200 bet on Berto at -170 would win you $117.64, so you'd get back $317.64

Please be careful guys. Berto's dangerous. Even if you push my own technical analysis aside... historically, in an evenly matched contest like this, the loser of the first fight often wins decisively in the rematch.

Good point. That's why I'm hedging by betting under also. I think only way Berto wins is by KO/TKO anyway honestly. And I'll have a chance to win both. If it goes to the cards, I don't see Berto winning, Ortiz is better. Berto will have to capitalize early.

Ortiz is going to lose via KO. After that vicious KO loss to PBF, his chin will not be the same and Berto is going to be the hungrier fighter due to wanting to avenge his only loss.

Ortiz easy money. He won every round of the first fight basically.
