Fair shout on Camacho, can't understand how I left him out. Come to think of it he'd be right up there.

Based on overall career and resume though, Ortiz clearly has him beat. Based on head to head ability at their best, you could easily argue Gomez, yes.

    Ortiz
    Gomez
    Trinidad
    Benitez
    Dejesus
    Camacho
    Rosario
    Montanez
    Torres
    Cotto

the reason I make Ortiz #1, he was never deystroyed like Gomez was againts Sanchez and although there are many reasons why that happened its still adverse. Ortiz fought very tough competition was always competitive
    and represented himself well.

HEEEEYYYY wait you guys have a good list no doubt about it, but let's not forget:

    IVAN "IRON BOY" CALDERON

just 5'0" AND ONE OF THE FINEST BOXERS OF PUERTO RICO, maybe if he gets more wins at 108 he should be included at least he is in mine, he had a record of title defenses in 105 pds.

    the little guys count too

    es excelente boxeador

I like t booze's list in this one. I prefer to give trinidad the #2 slot after ortiz. I feel he's more accomplished than gomez and benitez. Sure he fought old versions of camacho and pernell and many will say he really didnt beat oscar, even though i say he did.

He still beat the prime version of vargas, he beat undefeated fighters like david reid, campas, carr and he brutally destoryed a top 3 middleweight at the time in william joppy. On top of that he has wins over 2 other linear welterweight champs like maurice blocker and ricardo mayora, two guys he brutally ko'd.
