I would put Holman at 3 his resume is probably the second best after Langford on the list. Also Joe Jeanette instead of Young Stribling and Joe Choynski instead of Peter Jackson. Does anyone have any info on the NC between Corbett and Jackson who was doing better at the time it was called off.

On a modern note, Bennie Briscoe, Alvaro Lopez, Ruben Castillo, Armando Muniz, Tony Ayala Jr., Ken Norton, Gerry Cooney, James Scott. & Howard Davis Jr.

Corbett. It was said to be a back and forth tussle. Jackson had his moments, but was almost out during the 28th round. I have it on DVD if you want a copy. I wish :good

For myself ,I have more sympathy for those poor guys who never got a chance at a title shot, several of those mentioned had at least one chance.

    Brian Nielsen.

Wins over Larry Holmes, Tim Witherspoon, Ross Puritty, Orlin Norris, Mike 'The Bounty' Hunter, Lionel Butler, Jeremy Williams, Phil Jackson and Peter McNeely.

all past their best and/or heavily overweight at the time, cough cough...

Jack Dempsey? The Non Pareil one?

Worth a mention anyway. He might of won the MW title actually. Not sure.

Howard Davis had skills, but no power.... His chin was chinny, also.... Other than that, Davis could box, and he was fast as all hell... Too bad he choked as a pro....:rofl

    MR.BILL

Runner up: Razor Ruddock.... Ruddock had bad management, etc.... Had Razor been handled more professionally, he'd been a champion--for a little while....

Yes Mike Hunter looked more like the" Bounty Eater " when he got into the ring.

    Mark Breland.

Deserves a mention just for his amateur career.

But choked it as a pro.

    Absolute waste.

I think Driscoll should crack the top 10.

Nielson was fat his entire career as well, so we can meet half way and say he was a decent fighter.
