Teo needs to admit that Martin beat him. Man up. Stop being a whiner when you lose.

Teo’s dad proving once again just how ineffective he is as a trainer.

I was at the fight so I missed the between rounds. I remember him being awful in the corner of the Kambosos fight.

Something bothered me about the ring walk. Teo came out second and there was decent wait after Shakur. Sr was already in the ring seemingly living up the event and soaking in the atmosphere and music and not with his son to walk out or give any extra advice or motivation. I know that might be petty but it irked me

Teo really had no answers last night and I don't know what another trainer could have done. That said Teo has a wealth of physical talent and gifts and showed plenty of skills in other fights. I would have to think another trainer could bring out more than what we saw last night.

You know, I was thinking the same thing during the fight, that he needed some corner advice. All he got from his corner was,,,"Go out there and hit him"

Teofimo's brain requires concise, simple instructions in the corner, not a cheerleader. Teo needs to make changes.

What is Joe Goossen doing these days? He seems the sort of guy Teo could use in his corner, he would have read Teo the riot act yesterday.

Teo lost to Martin convincingly, I’m not surprised Stevenson beat him. Honestly, I expected a bigger beatdown, the fight was closer than I expected even though it was not close. I hope Stevenson continues to seek big fights and that he stays at this weight for at least a year. He’s not the most entertaining guy to watch but he will grow on me, I hope. He’s a skilled young man with quick hands and feet. Hopefully his punching power will improve at this weight. He beats Haney easier than Teo if they ever meet. Not mentioning Tank because I’m not sure he’s still boxing but Stevenson beats him too.

Yeah he is a hanger on.
He definitely needed to change his strategy
Not that it would have worked but you can’t keep doing the same thing when shakur neutralized it
Zepeda put up a better fight ffs!

Yeah, "incompetent" doesn't quite do him justice

Hope this is a reality check for Teo and if he wants to continue he NEEDS to get rid of his dad for good, especially after what he did after the fight by not being there for him.

I don’t get it. Teo came in for the biggest fight of his career with ZERO plan. It seems the idea was “meh, I hit harder, am stronger, and am more athletic, easy night”. Like, what? Had they not watched one round of Shakur in the zone? How lightning quick his reactions are, especially his head? Had they not had Teo sparring with quick southpaws who are good jabbers?

was wild. You could tell Shakur had studied Teo and decided on, and drills on, how he’d handle everything. Then his plan A worked like a charm and he just coasted because why mess with success.

disappointing. Teo is better than that fight. But it seems approached the fight like an arrogant asshat while Shakur approached it like a consummate pro.

side note, ****ing Crawford. Is this his new role now? Randomly being the smack talking uncle who shows up everywhere?

Just like Zab Judah. I think if he had a better trainer, he could have been next level.
