Terrifc one punch power ,but limited infighting skills ,his left was often just a range finder, similar to Ingos,he dropped quite a few decisions ,,didnt like pressure ,and I think might have been a good "on top fighter" I have a feeling ,just a feeling he didnt have to much ,bottom, to use an old fashioned word ,I see him as an improved version of that other Cuban Gonzlaez, and have my doubts he would have made that big a splash in the pro pond.

As it was, Jimmy Clark and Michael Dokes gave him all he could handle.

Dokes and Tubbs lasted three rounds and lost unanimous decisions.

Ali used to say a lot of things which he himself disproved.

But Stevenson was great. That does not mean he would have ruled the heavyweights. But he would have been a top pro - at least.

i am so sick of hearing that larry losing to my father shouldnt be considered.larry i believe was 19-0 going into the first fight in 72 with my dad.then later that year to him again.nick wells dealt larry holmes his first two losses ever.not only that,my dad was 215pds.another thing yall keep talking like larry was soooooo inexpierenced when they fought.he went pro like 2 fights later.and yes larry changed a bit due to his superior managment, but my father and his trainer winky groom sat down and tried to work a deal with don king but he didnt want larry to fight someone that larry was afraid to fight.it wouldve been a mega payday for bothsides.
