No, bro, Teo was the aggressor in the first half of the fight and pushed Loma back repeatedly. Loma was adversely affected by Lopez's pressure in a way that Stevenson was not, because Loma fights best when he uses angles and foot-speed to advance and initiate the action.

 

I wasn't debating if he was the aggressor or not, I was stating he didn't have to effectively cut off the ring against Loma like he would Stevenson. Lopez simply had to take the centre and you said it yourself Loma used his foot-speed and angles to "Advance." Shakur in contrast uses his foot-speed and angles to not advance but create space and distance forcing Lopez to lead and try to cut off the ring.

Lopez is not good at cutting off the ring, never has been and the fight with Loma is not an example of him being good at it as the fight was fought for the most part in the centre of the ring.

But I also noted, more importantly, that Lopez's sharp punching (especially to the body) and educated pressure prevented him from doing it with any regularity in the first half of the fight. In short, Teo didn't just wait for Loma; he made the fight over the first six rounds.
